Current music:Weezer - Undone.

Two questions abut the latest update.
The foremost and most obvious one:

Just when and where is the action taking place? How much of plot was just Infinite Crisis'd out of existence? Obviously, all will be explained in due time, but those of us who'd like to have a vague clue as to what's happening....

Oh, and is Eikre supposed to be a Rouge, or is that a misspelling? Too lazy to read the archives anf find out.

That's impossible. Ian J does not make mistakes. It is WE who are misreading the comic!

Unfortunately since this is a group of RPG World fans I am going to have to take your comment as if it were not sarcasm.

I dunno, I think I like it as him being a colour in another language. That, and who the heck keeps track of who is what?

(Last I checked, rogue and thief are the same thing. Anyone dare to differ? I know the D&D fans are with me on it.)

Kodah.

it was a typo. :) sorry, it's old material... I never would have let an error like that slip by if I made this today!

Ian! Yay!

...You do realize that a rogue and a thief are the same thing, right? In the D&D world anyway...

Kodah.

(PS You're awesome! I totally wish I could get pointers off of you.)

Yeah, pretty much. I can't really think of anywhere where a rogue wasn't a thief... Or some sort of thievish type. At least in the RPG sense a rogue = thief.

I think the question was more along the lines of

Rogue = thief

Rouge = red makeup for your cheeks.

The monster strongly resembles a Mugwump, but I don't know of any party who would have ~130 HP when their average level is 31 (sans Dragobo). Also, Mugwump wasn't a boss, so it's likely that, as a random battle, he'd be run into more than once. Despite party level, I'm willing to bet it's still somewhere in Disc One.

thanks for linking that comic. #54 has to be one of the best parody comics o the net. Most parody jokes have been done a billion times before, but #54 adresses something that happens in every single video game to make it totally unbelievable and yet isn't adressed often.

Anyhoos, Ian, don't feel subconscious about your work. I know we all do. But nobody holds you accountable for work you did when you were 15. I mean look at Penny Arcade- his artwork changes drastically. We love your work, we love your style, and the comic's topic and genre (RPG parody) is still perfectly valid today, 4 years later.

One of my favorites is the next one, where Eikre attacks hero and Cherry wonders whose thumb slipped.

If the latest update is followed by (damnit, I need to find the clip on youtube for illustration, but can't)

"What are you looking at? It's over. Go home" and the comic never updates again, it will be THE MOST AWESOME THING E.V.E.R.

Seriously.

No, really seriously.

Wait, that last update... does that mean no more RPG World for real, or am I slow?

Because seriously, I don't take cliffhangers well. Really, don't.

If it never updates again, I would be upset, but Id get over it. RPG World was the first webcomic I ever read (closely followed by Adventurers! which is finished), and I would like to see it finished. Ive been checking it every month or so, and was getting close to removing it from my list. Perhaps another year or so and I would have :)

And I guess we'll just have to wait and see if thats everything. Chances are we'll get more old content, which is good enough for me! Ill take anything Ian is willing to offer at this point.

NO.

It's just a gag.

However, if it really ended, it would be a pure, shining example of Monty-Pyton-esque humor. It would ROCK.

Well, it's just a re-publishing of an old story that was in a book, so I don't think it counts. :3

RPG World is long dead. He's ashamed to even be associated with it and its fans anymore.

At least he made some money off of it though!
