This is a community for people to put up the ridiculous things they, their friends, and their roleplaying alter egos have said in, and around game. Most quotes don’t need any explanation to make them funny. If there is a context to what has been said make sure you put it up to explain the set up of the quote.

To clarify this is intended to be a community designed for the sharing of highly entertaining, witty, and humorous quotes, made while and around roleplaying using tabletop, pen-and-paper, and/or LARP systems. (Online play using those systems, such as a traditional tabletop campaigns run via message boards and/or instant-messaging services is quotable.)
This community is not meant to include material from fandom or slash type games, Collectable Card Games, or Console-based games.
--Sporting events which don’t involve some sort of football covered in spikes are also right out.

Please DO NOT advertise for players to join a game, and please don't do advertising for a game system on this community.

Finally, KEEP IT relatively #$%&ing CLEAN! Otherwise I'll have to change the policy for admission to this board.

Posts found in violation of these guidelines will be the target of ridicule and mockery by the members of this community, and will be terminated by the mods, like extra’s in a Shadowrun campaign- swiftly, without mercy, and without a second thought.

What exactly does "Keep it relatively #$%&ing clean" mean?

• 1) Well what we're saying is that we want you to consider that adults are NOT the only ones who are a part of this community. Now chances are that anyone who is capable of using the internet has seen their share of wacked out stuff. However, making the assumption that anyone who joins this community is old enough to be of consenting age is similar to truely believing that you can put your head against your monitor and absorb the internet into your brain. Its just silly.


• 2) So when you submit a quote consider this first and foremost- Adults aren't the only ones who read this stuff.


• 3) Though I would think this goes without saying I will anyway just to cover my bases- NEVER USE ANY DEROGATORY STATEMENTS ABOUT PEOPLE; their sex, their gender, their cultural origins, their religion, their political views, etc. Now, in game, calling a halfling a "peck", or a dwarf a "Gold mongering midget"- that's fine, but when you're making statements about real people, it becomes a completely different issue.


• 4) Another guideline is to try and avoid using profanity. There are times where it just slips out, everyone knows this, but do your very best to not use it in a quote. The *#$%@~+? symbols will usually get the point across. Like I said remember that adults aren't the only ones who read this stuff.


• 5) Quotes pertaining to adult entertainment/erotica/exotica/nudity with intent to engage in permiscuous activity/"Catholic High School Girls in Trouble"; are not welcome. Quotes which happen to stumble on that shaky middle ground will be handled on an individual basis. Generally based off of member feedback.
