"Twilight" hottie Robert Pattinson is reportedly finding his newfound fame a bit strange, according to his "New Moon" co-star Jamie Campbell Bower.

It's no secret R-Pattz has hordes of fans ever since playing vampire hunk Edward Cullen in the hit series. According to Jamie, all of the attention is a bit much for the 23-year-old British actor.

"Robert is coping with it all very well. I think he is finding all the attention a bit strange," said "New Moon" co-star Campbell Bower.

Jamie told BANG Showbiz:

"It is nice to be back in England because I have anonymity there and I can do whatever I want. But being in America was absolutely crazy, you couldn't go out. There were paparazzi following us everywhere. It was fun for me because I was only there for two-and-a-half weeks but I feel sorry for the guys who have to deal with it the whole time."

In related news, R-Pattz was spotted shooting scenes for his latest project "Remember Me" on Thursday, July 2 in New York City.

In complete character, Pattinson leaned on a street sign oblivious to admiring onlookers as he and his trusty bicycle filmed scenes in Washington Square Park near the NYU campus.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson's list of up-coming films is growing rather consistently, and his fans certainly couldn't be happier about that.

On his plate of to-be released films are The Twilight Saga: New Moon (with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner), Remember Me (with Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Unbound Captives (with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman), and Bel Ami.

In New Moon and Eclipse, Pattinson will reprise his role as Twilight's Edward Cullen. Obviously, Twilight series fans are thrilled about this fact.

His presence in the two films, though, will probably be quite different.

In New Moon, since Edward is a flittering image for most of the story, his few non-apparitional scenes are all we have. In those, we see a darker side of Edward, really, as he leaves Bella and then nearly ends his life (or, rather, existence) in the end.

In Eclipse, too, a darker side of Edward is presented. While the majority of Pattinson's performance in Eclipse will be tame, there will be a fight scene with Rachelle Lefevre as well as a rather disturbing sequence of keeping Bella (Kristen Stewart) away from Jacob (Taylor Lautner).

His part in Remember Me is one which many look forward to, as it is a role that Pattinson has stated he identified with based on the script. Not to mention, photographs from the set have certainly raised the interest level of everyone for this film.

In Bel Ami, Pattinson will portray a slightly less romantic role than most.

Finally, while the details for Unbound Captives aren't altogether clear yet, many are excited to see what a Robert Pattinson and Hugh Jackman team would turn out like.

Robert Pattinson took a much-needed break from the fan and media scrum that surrounds him earlier this week.

The actor reportedly managed to shake off his many loyal followers and make a low-key trip “with a pack of guys” to watch Jump Into the Gospel play at New York’s Webster Hall.

“He was totally normal and just hanging out, wearing a baseball cap. Nobody noticed him or made a fuss at all,” an onlooker tells Page Six.

But on Wednesday it was business as usual as Rob continued to shoot new movie Remember Me.

Sporting his pretend cuts, bruises and a black eye, the Twilight star was back to being the centre of attention as he filmed scenes on the rooftop of a Lower East Side apartment building.

Robert Pattinson might try to play it cool when it comes to his relationships with women, but the 23 year old actor isn't quite so shy when it comes to filming kissing scenes, especially with Kristen Stewart.

Kristin plays Bella Swan, his on-screen love interest in the Twilight saga. Pattinson plays the role of 108 year old vampire, Edward Cullen.

The pair, along with their castmates, just finished filming New Moon, the second installation of the Twilight series in Vancouver, BC and Italy.

After filming a steamy scene with Kristen for the upcoming movie, Pattinson told Twist magazine, "I always get carried away when I'm kissing. I just go nuts!"

But all of that frenzied kissing passion quickly turns to unease, said he. "Walking away after it is the strangest moment for me. It's embarrassing - not knowing what to say to each other."

New Moon is set for a November 20, 2009 theatrical release date and also stars Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, a werewolf vying for the affections of Bella.

Robert Pattinson is currently working on the movie, Remember Me, while Kristen Stewart is filming The Runaways, a biopic film about Joan Jett, as they wait for production of Eclipse, the third movie in the Twilight series, to begin in a few weeks.

Jamie Campbell Bower, portrayer of Caius The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Grindelwald in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II, has more in common with Robert Pattinson than just Twilight and Harry Potter.

Obviously, they are co-stars in the Twilight series. Both portraying vampires (albeit very different vampires), the two will be seen together this winter in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Also, they were both involved in the Harry Potter franchise (Pattinson with Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire and Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix).

Final point of obviousness: they're both from London and they're both actors.

Yet, there is more to it than just that.

Now, it seems, the connection is deepened by a suggestion that Bower might be the world's next heart-throb.

Says the London Paper,

Campbell-Bower, who went to posh Bedales school and was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre, has already been seized upon by US gossip blogger Perez Hilton as the hottest new London export.

He has yet to come to mainstream attention, though he has appeared in Sweeney Todd opposite Johnny Depp and in Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla.

And he doesn't just act - he's also frontman in his own band, The Darling Buds (no, not the 80s Welsh indie outfit) and was formerly signed to Select Model Management.

Campbell-Bower's first role was playing the French mouse in a production of Alice in Wonderland. "I think I always sort of had the calling,” he says. "That sounds so f**king generic and cheesy, but it’s true! I always had the idea that I wanted to perform. I love being the centre of attention - and I always love talking about myself.”

Bower is adorable, and he is certainly building a strong foundation of films to enjoy. Much like Robert Pattinson, his work in Twilight and Harry Potter will only strengthen his star status, but will it make him a heart-throb? We shall see ... In the meantime, what do you think?
