rockxstillness. This is a weekly icontest community for rock bands in general. Each week there will be a new theme posted, it can be a color, different pictures, or other things, and you are given a certain amount of time to get your icons created and submitted. All of the submissions and voting are done through the comments, so that means the moderators are the only ones with posting access.Rules
1. Your icon submission has to fit LJ standard; 100x100 or smaller, 40kb or smaller, gif/jpg/png formats only.
2. When given a certain theme, please follow the theme as best as possible. Say, you're given a specific picture (or pictures) to use, you must use that picture, or your icon(s) will be disqualified. Also, no blending of outside pictures.
3. Please, make all entries original. Don't crop a base that someone has made, or use an icon that you've made previous to the contest posted.
4. Brushes, borders, effects, text, colorization, etc. are all allowed in your icons, unless posted otherwise.
5. When you've made your icon, please keep the entry anonymous. In other words, don't post it into other icon communities, or use it before the voting takes place. If someone sees this has happened, the specific icon will be disqualified.
6. You see one of the icons made for the contest that you would like to use? Then, ask the creator whenever the contest is over, to see if you can use their icon, with permission.
Submissions
1. Whenever a new contest begins, the moderator will make a post, with the weeks theme, where you can post your entries. The comments will be screened, so the only one that can see the entries, are you and the moderator.
2. You will also need a host for your icons. Photobucket, Imageshack, etc. Because, they allow direct linking. Sites such as Geocities/Tripod/Angelfire will not work. If your icon cannot be seen, then it will not be included.
3. When you respond with your entries, please post the img src and url versions, and what band the person(s) [and the person(s) name, if you like] is in, like so;

Voting
1. You must be a member of the community to vote. Non-member votes will not count.
2. If you ask someone to vote for you, then your icon will be disqualified, because that just defeats the purpose.
3. Do not vote for yourself, or your icon will once again, be disqualified.
4. All votes are screened.
5. If we get a certain number of entries a week, then a mod's choice icon will be selected.
Deadlines
Monday: New contest is posted, along with winners from the previous contest.
Monday - Friday: You are given time to get entries in for current contest.
Friday night: Weeks entries are posted, and voting begins.
Saturday - Sunday: Time you're given to get your votes in.
