Important information about the Rocksoc gig this Sunday!
Important gig information!! Unfortunately, Godsized have had to pull out of the gig this coming Sunday. Rest assured though, there is no bad blood here and they will return with a vengeance in 2010!! From the ashes, a replacement has risen in the form of Abadden! In the words of our Events Officer: "Abadden descend on Cambridge as mighty replacements for Godsized. One foot firmly in the old-school of Thrash, and the other firmly in the new-school, these guys will no doubt tear it up and leave you stricken with awe and amazement! Think you know your Thrash? Then step up to the plate!!!" Current Mood: thoughtful |

Metal!
The band formely known as Perish in the Flames and now known as a name we haven't decided yet but will sound far less scene and shite would like to share with you a new demo track of ours. It only has guitar and drums currently and the drums are electronic due to NO DRUMMER WOE! But here it is Nameless 3. SO if you know anyone who can play that style of double bass heavy drumming then please hurl them our way. |

We need your reviews!
Thank-you so much to everyone who managed to make it to Bump n Grindhouse on Friday night. We all had an excellent time and hope that you did too! :-) We now have a favour to ask you. As many of you know, we held the night at a new venue - the Man on the Moon - this time. We would like to know from you how you felt about the new place. What worked well, what needs improving? Is there anything you would like us to do to make your experience of Cambridge's one and only Burlesque Noir club night even better? Was the variety of acts broad enough? Would you like it broader still, perhaps with comedy sketches or a magic show, or is it better as an 'American Burlesque' (more emphasis on striptease) style night? Did having a live band work, or not so well? Please either respond here, or email: info AT bump-n-grindhouse DOT co DOT uk And from the band's point of view, we would also love to hear your feedback. How was the gig for you? Did you like our music? Was the sound OK for you? (It was terrible for us!) We want all your comments, compliments and your constructive criticism too! Please again either respond here or email: lastjulyuk AT googlemail DOT com Thanks all, hopefully see you out and about soon! Current Mood: curious |

Slayer in November
Right, seeing as the people who said they were interested in going to see Slayer in November at the Forum in London did not say they had a preference for the date, I'm going to book my ticket for the Wednesday (25th) So, if people want to go, and it affects your decision at all; that's when I'm getting my ticket. Ticketmaster apparently still has them available for that day. Current Mood: excited |

You and What Army? gig TONIGHT http://www.myspace.com/youandwhatarmyukThese guys are a trance / rap / rock outfit who've just done their first EP, and they're playing the Man on the Moon tonight. Slayer in November
So, just got an list email from the Forum in London saying that Slayer are playing on 25th and 26th November. I'd quite like to go, but there's two dates to chose from, so basically, anyone else on here interested in going, and if so, which day? Would be annoying to book one day's tickets only to find everyone else went for the other day! Also, Machine Head at Brixton Academy on February 18th... Current Mood: contemplative |

Bugger
After the completion of our latest EP has just finished we can announce with regret that Wayne has decided to leave us. We wish him well in the future. This means that Perish in the Flames now have an opening for a new drummer. So if you or anyone you know is a metal drummer who can rehearse in Cambridge regularly then please look our way. You can hear the latest EP on the Myspace so you know the style we after. You gotta be dedicated as with the upcoming release of our EP we going to be pushing out of Cambridge to play around the UK and get as much exposure as possible in the UK Death Metal scene. Get in contact on here, the Myspace or email perishintheflames@hotmail.co.uk. Cheers, Mark. |
