General Rules
Sorry... But Ya Gotta Read 'Em To Play

The Major No's
1. No Godmoding... it's not fair on the players
2. No killing, maiming or making other characters cry without the player's permission
3. No unauthorised playing of other people's characters
4. No playing til you are registered and have at least ONE (1) character.
5. No teasing about sexual orientation. I don't put up with that kind of crap. Be warned: this is a slash-friendly community (not the GnR guitarist kind of Slash, but the male-on-male love kind), and many of the RP storylines may be outgrowths of some members' slash fiction. If you are offended by such things, don't bother voicing it here -- no one cares -- just don't join.
6. No taking things personally -- there are canon and fanon friendships, feuds, relationships, etc. Half the fun of RP is pursuing those interpersonal dynamics. Rockstars can also be narcissistic, spoiled, immature assholes. Don't be upset if Blackie is a dick to Nikki. But don't use your characters as an excuse to be gratuitously nasty.
7. No trolling, flaming, lurking, or any of those other ill-mannered internet activities. Cat macros are funny ... in moderation.

The Major Yes's
1. Post regularly! I love RPing and want to share the love!
2. Let a moderator know if you are going to be away, so we can put you on hiatus.
3. Be careful if you post as your Rockstar's family or refer to them. If they are famous in their own right, e.g., Pamela Anderson, then feel free to go for it. But please be careful with other family members, especially children.
4. If you are a band!fic writer (slash or otherwise), feel free to use this community as a forum to try out new storylines, continue existing storylines, or just chase some random plot-bunnies that don't otherwise fit into your personal work.
5. Have fun!!!

Other Rules That Are Also Important
1. You MUST be over 18 to join... your birthdate MUST be visible on your LJ Profile Page, so we know
2. Join the community
3. Comment on the "Friends Only" thread to "register", ALSO STATING WHICH ROCKER YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLAY. For example, hit "leave a comment" and type "Axl Rose!" as a comment.
4. Post all entries as "Friends Only" so that people don't just view to read. That pisses me off.
5. Try to post more than just a few words... I thrive of reading and RPing, and need something to sink my teeth into.
6. Check existing threads often -- even if there aren't any new posts, there might be some exciting action happening in previous threads.
7. Feel free to jump into a thread -- your rocker can always happen to be in the same bar or send a text message, etc., to get involved in the fray.
8. Don't feel constrained to post in the same style as anyone else -- your rocker can post personal journal entries, letters, emails, fiction-style dialogue and narrative, all third-person narrative, or any combination of whatever style and point-of-view you want. (However, it is unlikely that anyone but DJ Ashba, and possibly Tommy Lee, would do entire posts in chat-speak, so do try to tailor your style to your character!!)
9. If you have any concerns about someone else's posts, please bring it to the attention of the mods. If anything gets out of hand, or someone is behaving inappropriately, the mods reserve the right to delete a post and/or remove someone from the community -- with or without warning, depending on the circumstances. The mods are easy-going, fun-loving, fairly reasonable people, but we are also the final arbiters of what is acceptable here and what is not, in our sole discretion.
