I got my rainbow scarf today in the mail.
I may or may not have snuggled up in it and rolled around on the floor like Rafa Nadal when he won the Wimbledon.
(OK, so I didn't, but I seriously thought about it. I DID snuggle it. Am still snuggling it. In the summer. In South Carolina.)
I can't wait 'til it gets cold so I can wear it everywhere. ^_^ I lurve it. Just thought I'd let you know. |

Depends on what we'll want to call them....

I feel kind of bad, as this is very, VERY off topic, but anyway... I have been trying to construct a website, mostly because I've been making these rec lists and figure I should archive them somewhere. Mostly for the slash, because I know I'd really like a list of slash fic recs myself, so maybe others would too. Also doing the webcomics recs. Anyway, my point here is that geocities pagebuilder sucks balls. But it's the only thing simple enough for me to be bothered using. It's all drag and drop visual stuff where you don't have to know the slightest bit of html. Problem? It keeps screwing up in various fantastic ways. So, to the actual point: Does anyone know of any website hosting thingy with some kind of highly visual, simple program which won't require me to know anything to use? I don't really want to work around templates so much, but I guess as long as I can shove text, links, pictures and what have you in there where I want it, it works for me.
Sorry, tired. Talk a lot when I'm tired. Yeah... thanks.
EDIT: To clarify what it is exactly I'm trying to do! Something very simple, actually. One page which is my home page. It links to a page for webcomic recs, and a page for slash fic recs. Each of those pages is simply one page, with links and info for each webcomic/slash fic listed one after the other, on that single page. So, essentially, for now all I'm looking at is a 3 page website. Because I want all my recs of one kind on a single page, a journal style probably wouldn't be ideal. I guess it could work, in an only having two entries kinda way, but I think a regular website would work better. I don't care about any kind of fanciness, and I'm not even looking at backgrounds or colours just now. The only images I plan on using are ones relevant to providing a preview for my recs.

So I'd noticed previously that at least several of the chapter titles are song/album titles (Add It Up, Stunt, Wander This World)... and several of those are directly referenced within the comic itself (Add It Up, Wander This World). I have just recently discovered that Metanoia is the name of a King Missile song... both Star and Zan are King Missile fans, and they are mentioned here and here. ...COINCIDENCE?! I think not.
In other news, Metanoia is a freaking weird song.
So what does this prove? ...Mostly that I'm a huge geek. I find all of Metanoia's near-infinite subtle details endlessly fascinating. Jesse and Rah, I l u. <3~! |

I made another video, it's a series of shorts instead of all one song. I was going to put another music video up, but I'm stuck on my other ideas. So I finished this off.

There's a hole in my heart that I'm trying to fill with pritty pritty boylove. But it's a never-ending bottomless pit; kind of like Santa's sack'o'toys only more rainbowy. i went and got an LJ account because i wanted to be able to comment on fics and art.
i kept forgetting to sign my anon. posts.
i found metanoia a few months back. now i'm in love.
zan is my fave. he's beautiful. i love it when he's all geeky.
i love star's smart-ass comments. and i think he looks sexiest with his glasses on.
i can't wait for the next update. i hope jessie and rah haven't gotten distracted or unmotivated.

I've filled up another sheet of notepad paper of rec's, and I shall now share. I've got lots of slash stories and a handful of webcomics this time... not much of anything else, but slash and webcomics would seem to be what would appeal most to this community anyway, right?
Once again, I'd love any rec's from you guys. I'm always up for some slash, mostly the longer stories. Also, anyone know of any good yaoi/slash forums? Busy ones, I mean. Somewhere people are pretty much always online at. I get bored and lonely frequently, and if I'm gonna talk to people, they might as well people people who can provide boy/boy action, right?

Now that we have managed to make our eyes bleed with the mpreggy, converty goodness, I suggest we take it to the next level. CROSSOVER FIC.
Take anything. Lord of the Rings. Harry Potter. Barbie's Mermaidia. Insert the characters of our beloved Metanoia. Watch the bullets fly (of course, I could see Zan being thrilled to be in LotR).
The wackier the better. Milo winds up in Rainbow Brite. The entire cast winds up in My Little Pony. Let your imaginations set you free! |
