This weird place still wasn't appreciated, in Rika's mind. It was foreign, and there was little to no technology that she was actually familiar with, from what she could tell. No computers, no phones, no nothing. Nothing. And it didn't help that she didn't have anything on her from home that could be of any good use. Just her pajamas and a hair tie. Yeah, really helpful.

She pulled her feet up on the park bench in front of herself, leaning her chin on her knees. For now, she could only wait for Renamon to find her. Reaching her hands around her legs, she wrapped her fingers around her bare feet. That was the first thing she was going to do; Find shoes, and proper clothes. For some reason, though, she doubted they would have anything decent like jeans or something. This place seemed a little too old school for that.

She shook her head a little and closed her eyes, waiting as patiently as she could for Renamon to finally find her. She was beginning to twitch her toes impatiently, hoping her partner would find her soon. It would have been convenient. Maybe Renamon had found something out about this place.

She could only gather so much from this weird journal. But she'd figure it out, sooner or later. Rika couldn't help but scoff at what some person had said to her in it. Of course she could get by in this place. She'd done harder things.

Scoffing, she turned her head to look around the park.

Renamon closed the journal and put the feather pen inside of her arm sleeve. She frowned. Having to carry around this stuff would get quite tiresome. But, she thought it best not to misplace the journal.

She was in the middle of the city, up on a roof. This place was so... old. Ancient. She had never seen anything like it. She shook her head and stood up to look around. A patch of green not too far away... that must have been the park. She dashed off towards it, jumping from roof-top to roof-top, then from roof to tree, never resting in one place for more than a few brief seconds.

She paused in a rather large pine tree and looked down. There was a girl, in her PJs, on the park bench. Renamon jumped down to get a better look and had to resist the urge to pull the girl into a hug.

"Rika! You're okay."

Rika looked up as soon as she heard the strange rustling in a tree nearby. She could already guess who it was, and her guess was confirmed when she saw Renamon jump down from the tree. The girl was quick to her feet, not seeming to mind the chilly grass under her bare feet.

"Renamon!"

She was glad, now, that the other had found her -- no more waiting, and hopefully soon, they could find a way out of here.

"Rika, you don't even have any shoes on." Renamon sighed and shook her head. "We'll have to get some real clothing for you..." Renamon turned back towards the town.

"This place.. is so strange. It's nothing like our world or even the Digital World." She scoffed, "As evidenced by the total lack of computers.... or even something as simple as a microwave. Oh! Is your Digivice with you?"

Rika looked down at her feet, as though noticing for the first time this predicament. But she already knew, and shrugged it off. "That can wait a bit."

She looked over at the city, following Renamons' gaze. The brunette had already come to those conclusions. "I know. It's going to be annoying.." At least until she managed to get home. At Renamon's second question, she lifted her head to look up at the other and shook her head. "No, I don't. I was taken in my sleep."

Renamon simply nodded. She was right. "Hopefully we won't be here long enough for it to matter."

"... That will makes things difficult... but we will overcome the odds... somehow." She stared out over the city again. She didn't speak any more, unable to think of any ideas to get them home. She was not one for complete desolation, but she really did not have a single clue as to how to get home.

Rika glanced up at Renamon for a moment before she turned her head and looked back over the town. "I don't know, Renamon. I was looking through that journal; apparently people have tried to get out, but they can't."

This left Rika to think perhaps there was no possible way for them to escape. It wasn't exactly her favorite piece of information that she had found out.

Renamon's fur bristled. "There must be a way! No where is inescapable."

But she, too, had read through the journal, and knew what the others who had written in it had said. "There is a queen here. Perhaps we could request an audience with her."

Rika scoffed at this idea. She turned and sat herself down on the bench once more. "She's a queen, Renamon. I doubt she will want an audience with a little girl and ... well, what would be to her an unknown creature."

She shook her head, leaning on the back of the bench as she lifted her feet back onto the bench again. "We'll have to find another way."

She looked up at Renamon and watched her closely a moment before she nodded and pushed herself to her feet. "Alright." It was better then sitting around in a park. In all honesty, Rika would have preferred to be checking the place out. She didn't want to just sit and wait for this weird place to spit her out.

"Maybe we'll find someone we know." It was a long shot, but who knew.

Renamon nodded and started back towards the city. "There is always that possibility. But... we should get some shoes for you, first. These streets are... hm.. what's the best word... absolutely filthy." She nodded sagely. It would be her luck for Rika to stump her toe and get some sort of terrible disease in this place.

Rika followed alongside Renamon, crossing her arms over her chest. "I'll be fine for now, Renamon," The others concern was nice, but it wasn't necessarily needed. The girl would simply watch where she stepped on the concrete paths.

"I think our first priority should be getting out," She mumbled, putting a finger to her chin in thought. "If we can't achieve that today, then finding a place to stay should come in next," She said, glancing up at her partner out of the corner of her eyes. Renamon would probably disagree, but Rika was firm on this. Finding a way home was more important than shoes.

Renamon thought about it, then simply nodded. Rika was right, as usual. Besides, she wasn't ever particularly cared about her own well-being, why start now?

"We should get started then. Perhaps the best place to start is the boat that brought us here."

Rika nodded firmly. "That's a good idea." But she'd heard awful things about the water already. But who knew if it was true? She took a deep breath, looking up at Renamon. "Where were you before you ended up here?" She asked, out of curiosity.

Another nod. "I have heard that too... monsters and the like. I'm sure it cannot be worse than the Aquans of the Digital World."

Renamon paused and thought for a moment. Her memory was a bit fuzzy. "Well... I was in the park by the lake, after your birthday party... I heard you calling me and the next thing I knew, I was on that accursed ship."

Rika turned down a rocky-looking path that cut into the trees. "This way goes down to the beach," She said, already begining to make her way down it. The rocks didn't seem to bug her, and the trees on either side of her made for something to hold on to to stop herself from slipping.

"Oh, I see," She replied to the other, nodding softly. It made sense, she supposed. Explained a bit. She glanced over her shoulder at Renamon, tilting her head. "Are you coming?"

She snapped out of something of a reverie. "Oh, yes, of course." The digimon padded soundlessly behind her tamer, and after a pause, asked, "What had happened before you fell asleep? I have heard of... people being pulled from different times."

Rika turned forward once more, continuing down the sloping, rocky path. She thought a moment at Renamon's question, but finally answered. "I'm pretty sure it was the day after I went to the park looking for you." She held onto a low branch, using it to pass over a small gap in the path.

"mmm... so not so different." She nodded, her worries settled.

Renamon simply jumped the gap and looked ahead. The ocean's smell was getting stronger.

Rika nodded. "If you've only been here a day or so, then I suppose we're from the same time." She shrugged, jumping off a small ledge onto a patch of grass and continuing to walk. She didn't think they had time to stop, really.

The girl nodded in agreement before she followed the direction Renamon was pointing in, nodding when she saw the ocean off in the distance. "I can see it, too." She picked up her pace, silently hoping there might be something to find. Maybe a way home; a clue, anything.

After a few minutes of walking at a quick pace, Rika's bare feet finally touched white sand. She began moving towards the water. Glancing at Renamon out of the corner of her eyes, she frowned. "What is wrong?" She asked. Rika could tell by the look on Renamon's face that something was up.

"If they're aquatic, I don't think they could get us if we're on land, Renamon." She edged towards the water, cautious. "They never attacked when we were on boats." She stepped into the water, letting the small rippling waves wash over her feet a moment before she frowned. "Theres nothing odd about this beach other then what you said.."

She kept her distance, however, and scanned the shoreline. "I don't see the ship... or any sort of harbor..."

They were only small boats. Which made sense for them to be gone, once more... But it was still strange. Nothing fit together. She turned and began walking along the shoreline, a frown crossing her lips. "Do you see anything else?" She asked, looking around and taking in the scenery and anything else that might help.

Renamon scoffed a bit and added, unhelpfully, "Rocks. Seaweed." She shaded her eyes with her paw and gazed into the distance. "A few small islands, but too far to reach in those rickety rowboats..."

She looked down the beach. It seemed endless in either direction. "Perhaps we should walk farther down the beach."

Rika frowned as she stared ahead at the distant, never ending beach. "It's worth a shot," She muttered. Rika stepped out of the water, making her way down the sandy beach. "I doubt we'll find anything, though, Renamon. This seems too.. organized."

Rika nodded in reply to Renamon. Nothing made sense. Strange creatures dwelling in the waters, and she'd heard the jungle was to constricted access... "Whoever is keeping us here, doesn't want us to leave," She voiced her thoughts out loud, putting her hands on her hips in though as she walked.

She continued to walk down the shore line, still looking for any sort of sign that could help them.

Renamon thought for a moment before she spoke again. "If they don't want us to leave, then they obviously want us to stay. That much is obvious."

She looked out on the ocean as she thought, then back at the sand in front of her. "So what do they want of us?"

Rika frowned as she continued to walk, lost in thought. What would they have wanted from them? Was there something special about Rika, Renamon, and all these other people.

Nothing fit in this place. What kind of a city had a child Queen, anyways? It was... a little worrying.

"I don't know, Renamon. But I'm going to find out."

Renamon was having similar thoughts. But she had been "studying" the people here. There was seemingly no common denominator. It made no sense.

Rika turned her head to look at Renamon, nodding slightly before she turned her head to look down the length of the beach again. "I don't think we're going to find anything here, Renamon. WE should find a place to stay for the night," She suggested.

She stopped walking, turning her head to look out at the ocean. There was nothing here but a clean beach. Too clean.

Rika nodded. She turned to her towards the cement stairs that led up to the streets. It was a little ways away, but it was better then climbing through the forest again.

"Do you know where we could find a place to stay?" She asked. Renamon had been here longer; perhaps she knew.

Renamon followed her, the took her journal and flipped through it. "Hmm, yes. I read something about there being... empty houses that were available... all we need to do is find an unoccupied one."

"Hopefully that's not as hard as it sounds." She frowned, making her way up the steps. She wasn't picky, but as long as a roof was over her head. She stifled a yawn, gripping the railing of the stairs as she climbed them.
