Dear Piece of Parchment,

I have arrived in a godless city, ruled by a godless Queen. Why? Traveled here by boat with Schuldig, Crawford and the Little One. Was, to disappointment, not allowed to 'play' with the other passengers and my knives were confisticated until further notice. (note to self: find where Crawford has hidden them, he is probably wearing them in which case talk to Schuldig)

Where are we sleeping tonight, Crawford?

Hey, I've got someone you have to meet. He's basically you, only less...white all over.

Yes, he's a man, and he likes knives and that Dainty guy you enjoy.

He has knives? I will be nice if he will share his knives.

I dunno if he'll share them. You can always ask nicely.

This had better not be a trick. You don't have your powers anymore.

It's not.

Why is everyone treating me like a fucking emotional leper?

We shall see. Depends how keen his blades are.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Have you been finding ... birds?

I found...a...sort of.

I see you're conversing with... what's-his-face. I don't think he ever introduced himself.

You must be that guy he wanted me to meet.

... I have knives.

I have 2 knives. How many do you have?

Hello.

I have lots, but I don't keep too many on my person at once. I have... about... oh, say, five with me.

I'll get more though.

And hopefully I get other fun things as well.

Wise.

Hm. When it comes to weaponry I prefer traditional forms: blades, close metal work. Knives add that personal touch, for me.

Knives are probably my favourite, as well. I despise guns - well, unless you're using them on yourself, I suppose. Can't argue with that.

But you should have seen the machines I had in my old house. Oh, you shoulda seen 'em.

In my experience guns are loud weapons. They're good for brashtalking, annoying redheads. Bad for prolonging one's experience. Also guns seem to attract undesirable legal interest.

!!! Like what kind of machines. Tell.

Let me think...

There was the one I used on Vargas. A whole bunch of blades pointed at the victim, who was suspended in the air by cords which wrapped around their limbs and torso... then when I flipped the switch, the cords would pull, and the blades would cut, and the victim would be torn to shreads.

It was horribly messy, but I adored the concept of it all.

Then there was the one with all the saw blades... and the one that made that girl's head explode that one time...

Oh, I miss them.

These machines sound ... awfully complicated, but admirably creative! Explosions are fun. Perhaps it is time for me to branch out. Expand my horizons while keeping the personal touch.

Still, there is something soothing about tradition.

When it's just you and the victim's dying whisper.

Rattle rattle rattle.

I am a romantic. I find Zen in the art of death.

Except when it's God. Then it's personal.

I can see what you mean. For me, it is more in the act of killing than of dying... dying is, perhaps, more personal, but it is also more crude and messy and loud.

... God is a total jerk.

The God I met was too lazy to even bother with lies.

He wouldn't answer anyone's fucking questions. I just wanted to know a few, simple things... but no, he's all "Oh I just created the universe gimme some fucking downtime" and I was like... you bastard.

Religion in general is just ridiculous if you ask me.

I've been to Heaven and Hell and I still don't know if they exist.
