We are merely fans with time on our hands. Most of us love to write and we express our love for the shows and Characters by playing this Role Play game**


This game begins post season seven; the main emphasis will be battling the Boca del inferno in London. The location(s) will not be located only in England but will also pull from the rich mythology of Europe.


Application Process:

Bocadelinferno has seen many versions since its inception in March of 2003. A large majority of the original cast still write with us. Through each revision one thing has remained the same, the outstanding quality of our writers.

Any character not on the current cast list is available. You will find the character list and rules listed below.

We strongly suggest that you check out the plot and all of the mythologies laid out in boca_mods. Then we would advise you to read a few entries in the community to familiarize yourself with our excellent cast. This is an ensemble community.

To apply please send a current example (current is defined as within the last six months) of your writing in your requested character’s voice. Original characters are welcome. Though Boca doesn’t have a minimum word count for entries, we request your example to be at least 250 in order for us to attempt to accurately evaluate your writing sample.

Additionally, please include a brief description of how you envision your original character fitting into our mythology, and a brief background on your character.

If your character is a cannon character, briefly tell us why that character is now coming back to join ‘the gang.’ Instead of a background, briefly describe what the character has been doing since in the interim. All questions should be answered for cannon characters in the plot and background mythologies located in boca_mods

In the sample, we are looking for grammatically correct, well-written applications. In your vision for your original or your cannon character rejoining the cast, we are looking for an understanding of the basic plot and a reason for your character to be there.

Every effort will be made to answer you within 48 hours, but we reserve the right to take up to a week to respond.

Note: We need to see a writing sample this includes any original characters.

Guidelines
To keep everyone on the same place and with the same basic understanding the following guidelines are in effect. We write in first person.

1. Posting once a week is encouraged, we realize with most schedules that once every two weeks is more feasible. If you can’t post within a two-week period, please email a moderator, or post in Rippers. The moderators reserve the right to move the storyline ahead to keep action ongoing due to a writer’s extended absence.

2. Do not kill off any character, unless it is an original character you created in the game and are no longer playing that character

3. Interact with as many characters when you can. Not every situation will facilitate this - but do what you can because this is an ensemble game.

The main characters are Buffy and Faith; however you determine how important your character is in a particular storyline. Your character may not be the main one in a particular arc, but arcs will change and evolve. You can suggest plots that will showcase your character. It will be hard to find fresh ideas so your input is welcome. I did choose Europe to pull from the mythology abundant there. Buffy and Faith will not win every fight, nor will evil characters.

Bottom line - let's have fun.

4. You may refer to any character in a post - for example to run into Willow. Please read the community entry first to keep continuity. If Willow has gone to the Tower of London and another character mentions seeing her at Giles' flat, that reference kills continuity. As long as your conversation with another character support the characterization the player has created you may also use a few lines of dialogue between the two of you - anything else please consult with that character.

5. Continuity – since everyone lives in different time zones, and the time to finish a thread differs between us all, we are going to attempt posting a time of day and location to keep the same person from being in two places at the same time.

6. Posts - post as often as you like using long or short posts. For longer posts - please use the LJ cut tag, so that other characters can get the gist of your post without having to read or scroll through a long post. You may also post a two or three line summary in rippers.

7. Content - What you write is your business as you are the authority regarding your character. Please use the LJ Cut tag for extreme violence and/or any adult themes. Those posts are between you and the person(s) you are writing with in the post. With the title you are using for the cut please add an MA for mature audiences or the appropriate information.

8. If you are having difficulty with other writers - please come to a moderator. If you are unhappy with the community please give us a chance to fix it first.

9. You don't have to have permission for plots, please run them by the moderators. The community members would like to know what is occurring so they may play the game and if possible participate in your story line. Several mini-arcs may occur at the same time. That's cool. If they affect another person please talk with that other person. You need to get their permission. Use the LJ cut for long conversations created in an RP.
