HEY GUYS I'M BACK. I'M THAT KID THAT ALWAYS MADE FUN OF RILO KILEY BECAUSE THEIR GUITARIST IS PINSKY. BUT NOW THAT I ACTUALLY CHECKED RILO KILEY OUT I THINK THEY'RE KINDA COOL. BUT EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO THEM I THINK OF THAT SCENE IN THE WIZARD WHERE THE KID IS ALL LIKE "I LOVE THE POWERGLOVE. IT'S SO BAD" BECAUSE THEIR LEAD SINGER WAS THAT GIRL IN THE WIZARD.

i suppose i just listen to music based on if i like it or not, and not solely on who is in the band... that seems really superficial to me.

I made fun of the band before I heard them just because I knew that their guitarist was the actor that played Pinsky and their lead singer was that girl in the Wizard. Then I took the time to check them out and I enjoy them.

well that's cool then, their work in the past i forget about often becuase they're just rilo kiley to me.... but i used to love troop beverly hills when i was little and after i found out jenny was in it i was so surprised.

We've all found Rilo Kiley in different ways, some like me who just happened upon them when searching to see if Jenny Lewis had made or was making any new movies. Some like my friends who I dragged along to the concerts. Some lucky people have even heard them on the radio in their area.

It is an odd situation, to finally see in person someone you've seen on TV and in the movies before. It's surreal, and takes a moment to wrap your mind around it. If you let the hero-worship fade, and get into the music, you discover that there are four very talented musicians on stage. Because of one interest, you have discovered an amazing band. But, they are real people, just like you meet every day. For me that was an awesome realization, regular people, who had a talent, and took it to this level. So, I respect them as people, and for their talent.

I guess that's a response to your post, or a generalization on life, or just whatever happened to spill off the top of my brain on a Friday afternoon.

the latest one i have doesn't even have my name in it anymore!
that makes me sad. It was so much friendlier and more personal when it had my name.

it does...your names rihgt here..and the reason i had so many drafts is because my comp kept spazzing and turning blue so i wasnt sure it loaded..tehn i had to go back and delete the screwy ones
