Degrees and a compass rose
Due to conversations with an anonymous commenter to the previous post in this community, I've figured out some details of rikchik directions and degrees.
Rikchiks split the circle into 420 (11407) divisions. 420 is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and of course 7. When specifying angles of lines, 0 is to the east or at the bottom of a page (rikchik maps put west on top) and the other degrees follow counterclockwise.
The four cardinal directions are east ("sun"), north ("dead"), west ("eye"), and south ("god"). In addition, there are two intercardinal directions between each pair of cardinal directions - for instance, between east and north are northern east and eastern north.
The ps/pdf version of the compass rose, as well as a larger png, can be found at the rikchik postscript files page. The intercardinal directions have been added to the rikchik dictionary as compounds.
