I can't believe I'm braving to be the first...
Title: A Touch of Nostalgia Author: Aelita Rating: NC-17 Disclaimer: Nope, still not mine. Summary: Nostalgia is a rather simple emotion but not when it comes to someone as complicated as Lex. (aka Clark and Lex do Connecticut) AN: Special thanks to tobyfan and tstar78 for spectacular beta, and superspecial thanks to swanswan for not only the second round of beta but for cheering me on like you wouldn't believe.

| here's how it goes |

some people have come to me a little confused, so i thought i'd clear some things up. and if there are questions, they can be centralised in this post, so as to help everyone.
the challenge itself is simple. you sign up for your setting, you write your story, you post it here. (remember, you must be a member of the community to post.)
the only deadline we're putting on it at the moment is september 7th, 2004 - one year from the day we posted the itinerary. there are still spaces to fill, and we want people to come and go and write until clark and lex have hit every one.
there's no set order. if you're writing washington, don't worry that the oregon person hasn't posted yet.
unless, of course, you want to worry. we imagined riding_shotgun to be one big road trip. from washington, to oregon, to california, then east over to nevada - all written by different people. but this is merely an added dimension you can choose. if i'm writing british columbia, and hazyshadeofdusk is writing alaska, i can choose to contact them beforehand and say, 'hey, how about clark and lex come down the alaska highway at the end of your story, and into b.c.?' i can choose to send them to east at the end of my own story, and give the lj user-to-be a point of reference when they start alberta.
connections that are further apart are encouraged as well. if svmadelyn posts her hawaii story first, kormanfan can choose to have lex fondly remembering the sun when they're stuck in michigan.
the spirit of the challenge is to write something as a community. so spread the word, and have fun.
