This is the the sign-up post for the prompt-based ficathon. If you want to link to the fest sign-ups, please link to the rules post only.

You can sign up only for one part of the fest - either the exchange, OR the ficathon. If you try to sign up for both, I will ask you to chose between them.



You can claim no more than two prompts. If you submit your entry early, you can come back and claim more.
Each prompt can be claimed only twice. Twice for art if an art prompt; twice for fic if a fic prompt; once for art and once for fic if a prompt for both.

Please make sure a prompt is not yet claimed twice when submitting your template. Look through the comments too, as I might lag behind with updating the prompts list.

43. Interaction between Ginny and diary!Tom. The diary has almost been a year in Ginny' possession.

44. AR(AU): For whatever reason Tom does not create the Horcruxes. What happens? Will he still try to kill Harry? Preferably gen.

45. AR(AU): Voldemort hears the entire prophecy. He decides to kidnap Harry and raise him as his own. What happens? Gen, het, slash or moresome. (claimed by asieluniversity)

46. Dumbledore did try to do something to help Tom not go utterly dark while at school ('great power of love' da-da da-da), but he failed. What happened, and how did both of them react afterwards? This might be while Tom was in one of the lower classes (because Dumbledore really should be taking immediate action), in which case Gen; or a (last) desperate attempt in Tom's last year (which may be slash - even non-con, and it's up to you who's doing that - if you wish). Any rating.

47. Tom makes Inferi. Who are some of them, and why did he choose them, rather than say using them for a Horcrux? Is there some special qualification (mudbloods only, purebloods only, particularly offensive enemies/irritating supporters)? Any rating.

48. The episode where Tom (or Voldemort) realised that he needed immortality in order to pursue his (initial) primary goal of wiping out the not-pure among the wizarding populace. This can be comedy, or even crack, or be taken quite seriously. Any rating.

58. What if Merope Gaunt didn't die? What if Tom wasn't raised at an orphanage but by his mother?

59. Many think of Voldemort as really evil, but what if he doesn't think of himself as evil? What if he thinks of himself as a guy who had to make some tough choices in his life? A Camus' Caligula type feel to the story, where we see Voldie as a type of philosopher of misery and death, as a man who will take his dreams where they need to go regardless. He is unable to accept reality, and he uses magic to run away from all the things that ail human beings. He is someone who'll take Relativism to the edge and push off. Voldemort as a pre-Christian, pre-Muslim, non-Jewish person, who can't be judged by our same standards. However, it would totally suck a nut if Voldemort was made nice or excessively sympathetic.

60. A teenage Tom Riddle reads about Grindelwald's current doings in the Daily Prophet. No het, no crack.

149. AU: Tom's first Horcrux was made by killing Dumbledore, not Myrtle. How does that affect events?
