0. This is a game.
Have fun. However, this is not a crack game, so don't have too much fun, okay? Have serious fun.

1. All interactions should take place (or be archived) on LJ. The community list is as follows:

alterresonance: For posting/playing logs.
resonance_ooc: For talking with other players, game-related or otherwise.
resonance_alter: For experimenting outside the formal constraints of the game.

Your character's LJ is for commenting purposes only. You may use it for whatever you like -- another game, memes, archiving, AU logs, whatever.

2. This game is played in third-person prose. All logs should take place in person (or, well, if you have a psychic connection to another character, we suppose that counts too). Each tag should be of a moderate length -- no less than a paragraph, probably two or three paragraphs on average.

3. When starting a log, please use the following format:

Characters: Noelle, Luke (open to anyone)
Location: outside the Alboire II, Baticul
Time: mid-morning, day 3
Warnings: none yet

4. This game's time is measured in days; one "day" in the game is two weeks in real time, which means two "days" go by for every month in real time. You are expected to participate in at least one log every month (e.g. every other "day"), unless you provide notice to the mods and the other players that you're on hiatus. Do so here at resonance_ooc.

5. This game is not rated. If your logs contain sexy or violent content, remember that some people might find that objectionable, and please note it in the Warnings section. If while tagging your logs they sort of accidentally start to contain objectionable content, edit the post to add warnings.

6. This game is omni-friendly. Except for IC, intolerance about relationships het, slash, or femslash will not be tolerated. And for that matter, don't intolerance your own relationship -- do not join this game to hook up with someone and then initiate drama about their love that can never be. For purposes of this game, Auldrant is by and large open-minded.

7. For that matter, remember that porn is not the be-all and end-all of existence. If the first thing your character does is hook up with another character, and then only has logs with that character, and they always end in smut, the mods will beat you about the head and shoulders with a stick. Exercise moderation or keep it to private logs; porn does not count as character activity.

8. There is a thing called god-mode. God-mode is when you use OOC knowledge in game, thus making your character psychic; god-mode is when you assume to know what another character is doing; god-mode is when you play a fight scene and never let your character take a hit. Don't do this.

9. The mods accept all kinds of questions and feedback. If you have inquiries or suggestions about how we run the game, or if you have complaints about other players, or if you have anything at all to say, leave a comment here. Comments are screened, and anonymous comments are accepted.
