This is my first post in this community, but I finally got it into my head to search out if RE5 is going to be brought to PC or not. (Let me know if this is not the kind of stuff you're interested in here. ^_^;) I'm not a hardcore PC gamer myself, but since I don't have a next-gen console, I've really got my fingers crossed for a PC port. They did it with Devil May Cry 4, as well as most of the previous RE games, although they took a while. [Still, I think it'd be worth the wait!]
So I thought I'd make up a collection of some of the popular video gaming news sites' opinions on the matter:
Kotaku seemed positive about it's release on PC, Action Trip says it's "practically confirmed," but N4G has a somewhat mysterious quote from Keiji Inafune, who we all know and love as Capcom's head of Research & Development and Online Business. IGN seems a bit less optimistic, but leaves plenty of room for imagination.
VideoGamesBlogger has the most definitive news on it, quoting a member of CD Projekt as saying that RE5 will definitely be coming to PC in late 2009.
So far, it looks like RE5's release on PC is shrouded in mystery, but generally positive, although probably sometime in the future. Maybe in time for Christmas '09? That totally rhymed

| Resident Evil 5 Caps - Part 1 |

So I managed to get these done a little quicker than I expected (it's amazing what you can do by just spamming the cap buttons while the video is on mute and you're watching Chuck, orz) So I have the first batch of caps of RE5 done. I have a whopping 1,587 caps from chapters 1-1 to the end of 2-1. I was a bit of a moron when I set my program up for capping and had it save as .png so the resulting .rar file was so massive I had to split it in half to get it all uploaded, but it's up! And in the future capping I will try to make them a bit more manageable. Because honestly I won't stop spamming the cap button, I love having lots of caps :x
the caps are 1280x720 in size, and while they're going to look a little blurry (as is the way of most newer-gen RE games, the quality is horrible on larger videos) they size down VERY well, and can easily be used for layouts or icons. The icon I'm using right now, for example, was made with these caps.
I honestly don't care if you credit or not, but if someone asks you where you got the caps point them in this direction since the link needs to stay alive and it'd be nice to see more good icons within the RE community :x

Celebrating Capcom's Resident Evil 12th Birthday and the release of Resident Evil 5,
myself and four others will play Resident Evil 0 thru Resident Evil 5.
Watch us attempt to beat the entire series in 24 hours, starting... Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 @ 6:00 PM EST to Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 @ 6:00 PM EST
Myself and a few others did this just over a year ago, inspired by the guys that did the 72 hour-Zelda-marathon. This is for fun, so if you're bored come watch!

what ever happened to the re novels? they were never exactly fantastic, but i've read all of them, and i always assumed more were forthcoming. Zero Hour, based on re0, was the last one published, and i remember hearing people say that an adaptation of re4 was in the works, but nothing ever happened. and with 5 now here, i was just wondering if anyone knew if they had officially stopped putting them out, or what the deal was.
