This is a community created to help people who don’t have the software to make their own icons. That’s all we do here is make icons for people. There are plenty of other communities for layout and graphic help that doesn’t pertain to icons.
I would Also like to note that this is a maker's creativity community. You give us the bare bones of what you want and then we shall make you an icon.
Rules

[x] Please Limit your requests to one a week. No exceptions. And we will be counting now.
[x] Use the form to request your icons.
[x] Upload all images to your own server. Tiny Pic & Photobucket are great places.
[x] Do Not Cross-Post to any other community. Exceptions to this rule are if you icon has been requested for more than 4 days with no response. Cross posted entries will be deleted without warning.
[x]There is no direct linking to any icons.
[x] There is to be no stealing of someone's work and passing it off as your own.
[x] Use an lj-cut for large images and anything that could be offensive/inappropriate to younger viewers.
[x] You must be able to tell us where you got a base--If said base requires permission first before its modified, we are going to assume that permission has already been granted for you to use it
[x] Don’t get upset if your icon isn’t filled immediately. Give us some time. Very rarely do we forget any of them. If your post is not filled and other people's are, please don't repost your request. We do not fill requests in order, and if yours wasn't filled chances are it is more complicated, or we just haven't had time yet. If, after a week, your request has not been filled, you may delete your first post and post again.
[x] If you mess up in your post, DO NOT COMMENT to it to change something. Go back and edit the post. If you do not know how, ASK.
[x] Do not request in comments. If you can't figure out how to post to the community, ask. But we will not fill any requests that are posted as comments to entries. The comment will be deleted.
[x] If some icon creator makes you an icon and you don’t like the way it turned out, make sure you THANK them before you ask them to fix it. Sometimes, its taken a lot of work for an icon and a certain icon creator spent a lot of time on an icon and they like it. So thank them, and then you can ask them to switch it around for you. Remember, if you weren’t specific enough in your request about an icon…its your fault.
[x] There will be no flame wars. If I catch anyone being nasty, I will see to it that you are banned from the community.

About the request form:
Name= give us you’re name. We like to know who we’re making for.
Where are you using this icon= please leave us the name of the journal you’re requesting this for, even if its he one you are requesting with.
Picture Address = not an image link. I want the actual address
Colors= give us a few colors you like. Sometimes the first choice color you want may look terrible with the image.
Text= This is the actual phrasing you want on the icon. No effects here, unless you are dividing your text between different frames
Icon Styles I Admire = Include examples of icon styles that you like. Preference is from the maker you are requesting from.
Any other notes for us? = Include anything extra in this section.
