AboutThis community will serve as a place to share articles, news, pictures, studies, essays, rants, art, organizing strategies, and other information pertaining to the subject of reproductive rights. In particular, we must address how to fight attempts to take them away. The Psycho Right/Your Country's Equivalent is determined to wage and win a war against women. It's time to fight back!
This community's goal is to highlight the struggles (and successes!) of women all over the world, and to provide a support network for those of us who work on, care about, and/or are affected by efforts to restrict reproductive freedom. We recognize that this war against women is sexist and deliberate, and has nothing to do with the "rights" of fetuses, embryos, and zygotes. Understanding this, we will treat it as a war and fight back accordingly.
Please stay on topic, although the topic is quite broad. Anti-choicer bashing is fine and healthy - encouraged, even - but try not to attract trolls.
There is no such thing as "partial birth abortion" and this community does not endorse any restrictions to abortion, contraception, or voluntary sterilization beyond what is necessary for other comparable medical devices/procedures. This community does endorse bans on all non-voluntary devices and procedures including forced abortion and sterilization.
If you have ever uttered the phrase, "I'm pro-choice, BUT..." this is probably not the community for you. Do not use racist, sexist, classist, homophobic, or transphobic language or statements. If you are not sure what that means, please contact the moderator.
