Welcome to the RENT Challenge!


Based on the idea of [info]fanfic100

DO NOT POST IN THE COMMUNITY UNTIL YOUR CLAIM HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!

Step One:Pick a character or pairing. Please only make one request to start. This can be a request to make either fanart or write fanfic. Be sure to check the big damn table first, only one person per each item is allowed. Check and claim it here.

 


Step Two:ONCE YOU ARE ACCEPTED and not before:

  • Post here with your exact claim so that I can create a tag for you.

 


Step Three:

Write one hundred fanfics or create one hundred graphics centered around the character/pairing  you chose. You can use old stuff that you’ve done before, or new stuff. You don't have to post everything at once. You can do one at a time, or a couple, or whatever you want.

FAQs




Are there any deadlines?


♥ Nope. Your set is done when you finish it! Posting something at least once a week would be awesome though. Just to show that you haven't forgotten about us over here at rent_100.
 


Do I have to pick a specific focus?


♥ No. You can pick ‘general movie/musical’. Or you can pick one specific character. Or a pairing.
 


If I pick a pairing, does every fic/graphic have to have that pairing in it?


♥ Yes and no. If you pick a pairing, then your work  must have both characters in it, but the relationship does not need to be the focus each time. For example, Roger and Mimi, you could write a fic that completely revolves around Roger, but you must at least mention Mimi If By choosing one character,  that character must be the focus of your work, but in any pairingor alone. However you want.


 


If I pick general, can I use characters the have been picked by other people?


♥ Yes. If you pick general, you can use every character that passed through the movie/musical. 
 


What ratings are allowed?


♥ Any and all. Just make sure that every fic is rated before the lj-cut.


 


What is the minimum word count? Can I write a haiku?


♥ One hundred words is minimum to count as a fic. There minimum size for graphics is 100X100.


 


When do I post?


♥ As you finish.


 


Are fake cuts okay?


♥ Sure.


 


How many pairings can I claim at once?


♥To give everyone a fair shot, please only make one claim to start. You may make a  second claim if you wish, but please note that you will not be awarded this second claim until at least a week afterwards. If somebody has already claimed what you want, you can request to be waitlisted.


 

Can we post the stories elsewhere that we write for this?


♥ Absolutely, the work is yours to proudly display as you wish.


 


Do we have to post them in order? Or can I post number 63 before number 1, etc?


♥ You can post them in any order you like.


 


How central do the prompt words have to be to the story?


♥ The word can be in the fic or can be a theme, it can be an inspirational basis for your fanart.


 


Can I use more than one prompt in one fic/graphic?


♥ No. You should have 100 seperate entries.


 


Can I do a claim jointly with someone else?


♥ No.
