[24 Jul 2008|12:03am] miffyhorrorshow a while ago my dad had a serious motorbike accident in which he nearly died. in fact he definitly would have done if it wasnt for a passer by quickly appling a tornakay to his leg.  when they re-constructed the leg it was left much shorter then the other. The Ilizarov Technique was used over a period of a year to legenthen the leg. every day he would go up by 1mm untill at the end of the year he leg had increased by 10cm. i recently found the photographs that were taken at the time. ( WARNING! i genrally wouldn't put pictures behind a cut but some of these are pretty graphic. ) 4 comments|post comment
