inell's rec community for Harry Potter fanfic recs.

My recs include het, slash, femslash, threesomes, and the occasional gen fic. I read all ratings (G to NC17) and most genres (romance/PWP to drama/angst to dark/death fic) for the pairings/characters that interest me. This community is intended to be a place for me to post new recs and store past recs that I have made. I post recs in the hopes that others may discover (or rediscover) authors, fics, or pairings that they might enjoy. Some of the recs may be familiar while others may be something knew. Check the "interests" section for a listing of pairings that are represented in my Rec Lists with at least one fic. By joining this community, you acknowledge that you are aware that links to NC-17/adult content will be posted here. If you are a minor or if it is illegal for you to view such material in your area, please refrain from clicking on any links to adult content.

I will be posting new recs to this community at least once a week as I find some of the old stories I've enjoyed as well as discovering new authors/fics/pairings I have enjoyed. I created this community for y'all and hope you find it beneficial. I highly encourage everyone to try reading something different (an unfamiliar author, a pairing that you would have never considered, etc.). It may introduce you to someone whose work you enjoy or a ship you find interesting. Of course, it could be something you don't enjoy at all, but, hey, at least you tried, right? *grin*

Following is the format I use for each rec. They are organized by pairing then rating then alphabetically by author and title. I am still working on adding "Inell Says" to each rec. That was something my Flist asked me to add so I am doing so slowly but surely.

Author: Author's name
Title: Title and link to fic
Summary: A general summary for the fic
Genre: Appropriate genre and whether or not the fic takes place During or Post-Hogwarts
Warnings: Any warnings if applicable
Status: Whether the fic is a work in progress or complete
Pairing: If it is listed under a Misc. category
Other: Additional pairings, if it is a sequel, etc.
Inell Says: Just a few words from me on why I recced the fic

The Rec List Shortcut lists each pairing for easy access to the posts containing the recs for each pairing. I do my best to update it weekly to bi-weekly depending on the amount of recs I've posted to this community during the week. It is updated with new ships once I reach three or more fics for each ship, thus moving them from "Misc." to an actual header. Below is a breakdown with links for each header if you wish to find something quickly.

Disclaimer: These recs are based on my interests and opinion. Just because I have enjoyed a fic does not mean that you will enjoy a fic. I am merely providing a list of fics that I have enjoyed with a bit of information for you to decide if it is something you may wish to read. I have my own personal preferences, ships, characters, and particular kinks that appeal to me so they are frequent amongst what I rec, but I read a variety of things and rec fics that affect me in one way or another. If I rec a fic, I am not insinuating that it is perfect or wonderful nor am I insinuating that it is awful or I did not like it if I do not rec a particular fic. I only have so much time so there are many fics that I do not read either due to lack of time, no interest in the ship, summary did not appeal to me, contained elements that I do not enjoy reading, or I just did not have time. *smile*
