Just got official word that there is absolutely no chance of Reaper going another year. It has been dropped by all involved. Boooo. But on a brighter note, There is a comic book coming out and there is some serious talk of it being turned into a cartoon. That could be sweeeeet. I would definitely be into doing a voice on that show. So, I guess thats it. I am officially going to be turning this into a Tyler Labine fan page and would be flattered if you all would stay on board with me. I've become quite fond of chatting with all of you. For some reason, all of this makes me feel more hopeful, even in the wake of various updates that Reaper is totally dead. it's been pointed out several shows have come back after "official death" like Futurama, Charles in Charge, etc.  We're still doing our Receipts for Reaper and other activities. If we get a comic book or animated series, that just means more chances for our fandom to prove we're serious and maybe we'll get something more in the future. Stick with us!

It's been a fast week, so I am putting this update up to let y'all know about some of the ideas we have come up with to try to help the Receipts for Reaper Campaign.

1.  Obviously, the most important one is to buy the DVDs and send in your receipt(s).  Click here for the info.

2.  Request your local (and university) libraries to purchase the S1 and S2 DVDs.  Many libraries don't even have them (including Portland, where Bret's from), and many others have rather large waiting lists.  Click here for the info.

3.  Donate S1 and S2 DVDs.  It's tax-deductible, and a great many places want them - including libraries (esp. rural) and local hospitals.   There is even a program to donate DVDs to the US Troops, as well as vets.  Click here for the info.

4.  Spread the word.  Use Craigslist, among other advertising mediums, to drum up support for the show.  Post on your local CW affiliate website.  We will VERY shortly be starting a rewatch program (where we will watch the episodes again once a week) in order to keep up interest.  We're trying to hold "watch" parties on Twitter, etc.  So keep posting to let people know about what's going on.  Click here for the info.

5.  We've set up a thread where we can list places we need Reaper fans to swarm with their Reaper love.  :D  Click here for the info.

6.  International fans:  We are trying to figure out ways to try to petition Lionsgate to get the DVDs released internationally.  You can help with ideas by clicking here.

We've heard on good authority that if we can prove there is a market for this show, it would give more force to the fight for a Reaper Season Three in syndication. We're gathering 1000 people to send a letter/note/card or piece of paper with THEIR REAPER DVD RECEIPT.

Info to include:
1) Name, address
2) Male/female, age.
3) Viewing area, cable company.

Get friends and family to pitch in. Combine your people on one or two documents, that would make it a lot easier for us to organize on this end.

Please include your name, address, age, M/F, and anything else you would like. I would ask that you try and keep it to no more than 1/3 to 1/2 a page (postcard size is best) so that when I print them out I can put more than one per page - saving paper and money.

Make sure to spread the word too. If you have friends, coworkers, family that you know of that bought - gather those receipts too. Heck, if you work for an electronic store, tell the customers who buy the DVDs from you! :D

New approach. We've been advised to Show Them The Money to convince ABC Studios and others that it's in their financial interest to Save Reaper. The plan is still being formed, but the idea is to gather 1000 signatures including Reaper DVD receipts and send them to the Powers that Be. Details:

R.I.P. Reaper...

I just wanted to say that on behalf of myself and the cast, we had a great time on this show and REALLY appreciate the fans out there that fought endlessly to keep Reaper on the air. We're disappointed that we won't be coming back but are grateful for the memories we have from the last two seasons. For me, it was more than just a job since I was able to go back home, where I spend the majority of my life, and spend a couple years with my family and friends. It really was the biggest blessing!! I have no idea where I'm going next, but I look forward to whatever it is.

Thank you again for your undying support, it did not go unnoticed.
