Jessica and John

Our latest wedding was that of Jessica and John, right here in Colorado Springs. Their wedding was full of emotion, as is evident from the images. I loved photographing this wedding for that very reason.

Jessica and John are both artists. Below, you can see the rocks that Jessica hand painted for each of her guests. I cannot imagine how long it took to paint each of these. This is actually only part of the collection. We plan to use this photo as a background for one of her album pages. Very nice. She painted one for me too, but I'm keeping that one to myself....cause it's mine. Thanks so much, Jessica. That really meant a lot to me.

Way back in May, I flew to Florida to shoot Angela and Chris's wedding. A very cool couple who was referred by Galin and Emily Knight, past clients and dear friends. Galin and I were in the Army together, and he married Emily a few years ago. You can see them here. (I can't believe that page is still up).

Chris, the groom, is an F-18 fighter pilot. His groom's cake was a massive Aircraft Carrier (the Ronald Reagan), and was probabaly the biggest cake I have ever seen.

Chris and Angela met when Angela's family participated in an "invite a Serviceman to dinner" program. They fell in love, and now they're married!

Amy and Chris had their whole day at the Wayside Inn and Martha Mary Chapel - rustic, fun, re-enactors, and a big red waterwheel to boot! They chose one of my all-time favorite officiants for their ceremony and she brought out their personalities so well (as is her talent). They had a quaker-style anyone moved to speak may speak section and then did rock paper scissors to see who would do their vows first. I'm not telling who won, but I'll tell you that the winner threw rock-- you'll have to keep an eye out for it.

The song that their slideshow is to is their first dance- I'll be the first to tell you that I'm not all that into country music, but I definitely got a little wet around the eyes listening to the lyrics.

This lovely couple's names were Kris and Mike, and they got married at La Foret Conference and Retreat Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was such a gorgeous wedding and a beautiful afternoon.

This was taken just outside the chapel in a spot where this gorgeous warm light was jumping all around..

You may remember Bob & Catherine from those fantastic Disney World photos! We started out Thursday night at The Celt Pub in downtown with friends and family. The next day was the wedding extravaganza at The City Arts Factory. Neither of them wanted a traditional white wedding and everything is unique, from the gold cocktail dress to the custom chucks the guys wore. Look out for the Glass Blowing demo with Charlie! And be sure to look at the photos at the end. We played Rock Band. That's right, Rock Band. It's true, you wish you were there right now.

Life has a funny way of putting people together. I met Kati back in high school (when she had purple hair!) and I dated Josh a few years back. When I heard they were dating, I thought, "It's so crazy it just might work!"

And it does, beautifully. Josh and Kati are one of those couples that can easily make you go 'awww!' and follow it up with "ya'll are gross!"

Robby and Mae

Mike and I traveled to San Francisco last weekend for the wedding of Mae and Robby. We love San Francisco ordinarily, but over the weekend the city was even more delightful than usual, with perfect spring weather. Mae and Robby got married at St. Ignatius Church, a gorgeous Catholic Church at the University of San Francisco. Their reception took place at the Cliff House, a restaurant that sits right on a cliff overlooking the Pacific. The entire wedding day couldn't have been more beautiful.
