sorry for moving once again, but feel free to follow me over there! it's members only, unfortunately.

however, if you find any of the uploads here have expired, just drop me a line on the post and I'll reupload for you.

this rotation in honor of my epic love for bass lines.

Title: A Clean Shot
Artist: The Myriad
Album: With Arrows, With Poise
Genre: alt rock
Comments: okay, so. I first heard this song on one of Charter cable's music channels, the alt rock one, and I was like, "hey, band has a cool name." and then, "hey, this song's actually decent." I kept hearing it, though, and all of a sudden one day I was like, "OMG I MUST FIND THIS SONG--" and now that I have it I have this problem with not being able to stop listening to it. |D the bass line is fucking awesome, the guitars are great, I love the singer's voice, and the band's drummer is way too good considering this is their first actual album (they've released an EP or two, but). the lyrics are gorgeous. the part that really kills me, though, is the bridge: slow, shimmery background synth and simply epic drum line. "hey now, oh no, you've got a clean shot" ♥♥

Title: Believe
Artist: The Bravery
Album: The Sun and the Moon
Genre: alt rock
Comments: another one I liked at first, but didn't really love. I adore it, now, though, and have listened to it on repeat numerous times. ♥ style-wise, this reminds me of a vaguely more synthie Franz Ferdinand; similar guitar work, I think, and the guy's voice has that kind of raw, thick sound to it. the resemblance ends there, though, haha. the chorus of this song is insanely catchy, and I love the lyrics, particularly, "something's always coming, you can hear it in the ground, it swells into the air with the rising, rising sound" and, well, the entire rest of the song really, lol.

Title: Billie Jean
Artist: Cobra Starship
Album: --
Genre: alt rock/cover
Comments: so uh, for the record. these guys are fucking crazy, lol. |D love them, though. anyway. this song is a live cover of a Michael Jackson song, and I uploaded the version with the intro because it's just funny. so like, the first minute and a half are the band members being utter dorks, lol (except for Vicky, but whatever). but then they start the song, and aaaah, it's great. ♥ Gabe's voice sounds awesome here, and Alex is awesome on the bass. Nate's maracca-ing (oO) is great, and I love Ryland's guitar work and background vocals. overall, a very fun song ♥♥ also, please to be noting Gabe's utter dorkiness when he says "cobra starfish", not "cobra starship".

Title: Nixon
Artist: Tiger Lou
Album: The Loyal
Genre: alt rock
Comments: earlier I uploaded their song 'The Loyal,' and you can tell this is by the same band but it's definitely different, lol. 'Nixon' is dark and creepy, but in a more subtle(?) way, I think. the lyrics start off with a bang, lol, "this is how it feels to be special, I wanted to kill you the next day." the chorus is awesome, with a wonderful balance between the guitar and bass, and oddly enough the vocalist sounds like Gabe from Cobra Starship during the "hey! hey! hey!" bits. oO; whatever, lol. I love this whole song, the feel of it and the instrument work and the guy's voice is just freaking amazing.

Title: Bulls in Brooklyn
Artist: The Academy Is...
Album: Santi
Genre: alt rock
Comments: so The Academy Is... is a very interesting band, I think, style-wise. this song starts off with a driving drum line, followed quickly by a really cool bass line and then the singing. William Beckett has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard, but it's a subtle sort of different. overall, this song is very rhythmic, even the guitar (which is fucking awesome, for the record, and just as subtly unique as Bill's voice), and it's one of my favorites off this album. the bridge is awesome, much lighter than the rest of the song, almost breezy, in a way. there are six members in this band, but it doesn't feel cluttered or claustrophobic at all. ♥ awesome song. also, they've got a really good sense of the lyrics to use to begin and end their songs. \o/

songs that almost made it on:
Death Cab for Cutie - 'I Will Possess Your Heart' (the file was too big 8( boooo. and I couldn't find the radio edit of it.)
Panic! At the Disco - 'Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off (acoustic)' (but none of the downloads finished. D: wtf, people, seriously. THEY ARE STUCK AT 38 AND 44%, PLEASE CONTINUE TO UPLOAD THEM SO I CAN HAVE MY DAMN SONG. --I would have uploaded just the studio version, but I'm pretty sure everyone between the age of 10 and 25 has heard it, so.)

Title: Get What You Deserve
Artist: Bertine Zetlitz
Album: My Italian Greyhound
Genre: trip-hop, dark-pop
Comments: I've only uploaded one of this woman's songs before, but I have all five of her albums and I love her sosososo much. this particular song is dark, quiet and elegant, and it is absolutely beautiful. the guitar is simple but lovely, and I love the various subtle synths you can hear throughout the song. her lyrics are, much like the feel of the song itself, dark, quiet, and elegant. great song to listen to at night.

Title: Vökuró
Artist: Björk
Album: Medúlla
Genre: electronica, avant-garde music
Comments: I've never been a big fan of Björk, but I recently gave this album a try and was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying it despite how strange it is. this album is recorded entirely using vocals, often put through various synthesizers, and only two songs (I think) include non-vocal pieces. this song is my favorite off the album, dark and hauntingly beautiful and sung entirely in Icelandic. which seems like it should weird, yeah? but it's a gorgeous language, apparently, and this whole songs is just stunning. there is a background choir throughout the whole thing that really helps to enhance the mood. give it a shot!

Title: The Mountain
Artist: Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer
Album: Tanglewood Tree
Genre: folk
Comments: don't let the genre throw you off. this song is beautiful, been one of my favorites for years. the instruments consist of light percussion and gorgeous acoustic guitar and violin. Dave's lyrics are absolutely gorgeous (you should check them out here); I think my favorite verse would have to be "miller take me and miller grind me, scatter my bones on the wild green tide, maybe some roving bird will find me, over the water we'll ride," and that's pretty much the mood for the whole song. Tracy's got a wonderful voice, light and rich, and Dave's background harmony is awesome. throughout the last verse Dave sings in the background in Sumerian, of all things. XD it's a beautiful touch, though, and alkdsaouwer, DOWNLOAD THIS OR I WILL CRY.

Title: Come Round Soon
Artist: Sara Bareilles
Album: Little Voice
Genre: pop
Comments: you've probably heard Sara Bareilles on the radio or on music TV. her song "Love Song" is a tremendous hit, and if you're familiar with it you know the album title is not fitting whatsoever. Sara Bareilles is a tiny little girl, and her voice is a huge contrast, strong and rich and one of the best voices I've heard in American pop music in a long, long time. this song is much darker in tone than "Love Song," and it's gorgeous. the piano is lovely, and there are all sorts of pieces of music that I can't describe but I love. there's one note she hits around 2:20 that is just wow; she has the kind of voice I would have expected to come out of the same era as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. awesome song.

Title: Holiday
Artist: The Bee Gees
Album: Their Greatest Hits: The Record
Genre: psychedelic pop
Comments: now for a total change of pace, lol, we have the Bee Gees. this is actually the first song I've heard by them that I knew was them. it's kinda funny, my mum and I were putting away groceries one night and my dad had fallen asleep in front of the TV in the living room, and some Chinese movie came on (I can't remember what it was), but it had this song in the beginning of it. mum knew what it was, but she couldn't remember who it was by, and I really, really liked it so I googled the lyrics. this song is quiet and beautiful; it reminds me of rain, I think, the kind of rain that sparkles as it falls. I love the "de de de de de de" parts; they're so pretty.

don't forget to comment! >(

another full album upload, because I've been listening to pretty much nothing else for the past couple days, and a 30 Seconds to Mars cover. :] (by that I mean they're performing a cover of someone else's song.)

Artist: 30 Seconds to Mars
Album: A Beautiful Lie (buy it!)
Genre: rock/progressive rock
Track Listing:
1. Attack ♥
2. A Beautiful Lie
3. The Kill
4. Was it a Dream? ♥
5. The Fantasy
6. Savior ♥
7. From Yesterday
8. The Story
9. R-Evolve
10. A Modern Myth ♥
11. Battle of One (Bonus) ♥
12. Hunter (Bonus) ♥
Comments: 30 Seconds to Mars is a band originally created by Jared Leto (an American actor with some big-name movies under his belt) and his brother Shannon, and I know a lot of people are hesitant about trying them about because most actors, well. shouldn't write music. XD; these guys, though, these guys. this is the band's second album, and it is sheer brilliance. you'll notice the number of ♥ in the track listing; I love the entire album, and the two that don't have hearts next to them are ones for whom my love is only slightly milder (which sounded like something from a really, really cheesy movie, but it's totally true, lol). this CD is a powerful one, featuring beautiful lyrics, tremendous vocals, and each song is compositionally and structurally sound. there's something very atmospheric about their sound, something dark and dreamy and vaguely creepy, and I love it. I've had this album on repeat for the past couple days. ♥ DOWNLOAD. I DEMAND IT. ALSO: a note on the bonus tracks. I've read several reviews speculating that they might be bonuses because they feel like they've "been tacked on," which, well, they were. XD; the original album had only 10 tracks, but it was leaked five months early so they released it with a couple bonuses. Hunter, btw, is a cover of a song by Björk, of whom Jared Leto is a very large fan.

Title: Stronger (Kanye West cover)
Artist: 30 Seconds to Mars
Album: --
Genre: progressive rock
Comments: so I was reading through their wikipedia page a couple days ago, and reading through the section on their non-album tracks I saw that they'd done a cover of Kanye West's "Stronger," which made me lol very hard so I decided to look it up. for those who aren't familiar with the song itself (or at least its background), it "features a prominent sample from the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by the French house music duo Daft Punk"1. I have a lovehate relationship with the song, because it's fun to listen to but at the same time it gets very old, very quickly. well. not 30 Seconds to Mars's version. ._.; the sound quality on this isn't quite as clean as the first version I downloaded, but it's the whole song and the quality is still very good (especially considering it's a radio rip). if I had listened to this first? I wouldn't have even known it was a Kanye West song, because they take it and turn it into something of their own. it's gorgeous, with the typical atmospheric, vaguely creepy sound of 30STM, and while I generally hate live recordings, I love it dearly. ♥♥

Title: Stay Gold
Artist: Utada Hikaru
Album: HEART STATION single
Genre: JPop
Comments: ljasdf, this new Hikki song is just gorgeous. *o* it's off of an unreleased single, HEART STATION (due to be released Feb. 20th), and is light and airy with clear, sparkling piano and and very faint background of light synth. utterly beautiful, and Hikki sounds wonderful, as usual.

Title: Tiny Vessels
Artist: Death Cab for Cutie
Album: Transatlanticism
Genre: alternative
Comments: got this album for Christmas, and this is one of my favorite tracks off of it. ♥ I had this on repeat for like a day straight, lol. anyway, it's slow and dark and not quite sad, maybe more melancholy or regretful? but whatever it is, I love the feeling of it, especially when it bursts into the third verse: definitely my favorite part, with him singing through a really, really cool synthesizer and some lyrics that, for some reason, really hit me. I love the guitar in this, and just-- lkjasf. download. please.

Title: Rangers
Artist: A Fine Frenzy
Album: One Cell in the Sea
Genre: pop
Comments: pop doesn't quite describe this woman, but whatever she is, it's gorgeous. I think this is my favorite track off of her debut album, with dreamy lyrics, a beautiful voice that's nice and rich and husky (my favorite kind), and a vaguely haunting melody with beautiful orchestra. the lyrics are almost creepy, but they're beautiful and they really hit me when I first listened to them, and the bridge is gorgeous, and the piano is just beautiful. I had this on repeat for almost a day, too, lol.

Title: Freedom
Artist: CLAZZIQUAI Project
Album: Robotica
Genre: KFunk, KTechno
Comments: so I've only recently discovered this band, and well. let me just say I'm very, very impressed. this song, Freedom, consists of some bright, funky synth, and a light, fun melody with equally light and beautiful vocals. Horan's English accent is adorable, and the chorus is very, very catchy. there's something inspiring about the lyrics, to me, and I love them despite (or maybe because of?) their simplicity.

Title: GUILTY
Artist: Hamasaki Ayumi
Album: GUILTY
Genre: JPop
Comments: I'm not going to lie, I wasn't quite as impressed with this album as I was hoping. I think she works better with the more synthy sounds of "Secret" than with the rock sounds of "GUILTY." however, there were some tracks that I did like, and this is my favorite, I think. I love the opening of this song, with the church bells and synth, and the explosion into the main rock chords of the song. something about the guitar is very muffled, very distant, and I think it works really well with the feeling of the song as well as with her voice. she sounds awesome, of course, and the background, synthy drumline is wonderful. the guitar works wonderfully with the chorus, providing a very nice backdrop to a deceptively simple melody. overall, a very good song, I think. there are lots of little bits and pieces that tie in really well.

Genre: indie
Track Listing:

2. A Dark Congregation ♥
3. Sweet Tangerine
4. Lions Roar
5. Lighthouse
6. Don't Wake Me Up (ft. Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy) ♥
7. Where We Went Wrong
8. Magnolia
9. Wine Red ♥
10. Out Through the Curtain
11. You Are the Moon
favorites are marked by a
Comments: I only heard of this group recently, but they've made a big impression on me, haha. they're an interesting blend of guitar and piano, and it works really, really well. they consist of two vocalists, Bob Morris, whose voice reminds me of a mixture of Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy) and Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand), and Greta Salpeter, who has a wonderfully delicate, beautiful voice. We Intertwined is a fun song, nice and upbeat and a great way to open the album. A Dark Congregation somehow manages to be bright and dark at the same time, probably the work of the piano, lol, the chorus is beautiful. Sweet Tangerine is nice and fun, with clear, sharp piano and some really nice guitar work. Lions Roar feels very Spanish, with a nice combination of deceptively simple guitar plucking, trumpets and maracas. very fun. Lighthouse is soft and quiet and very, very beautiful. something about the lyrics really strikes me. Don't Wake Me Up was the first song that I heard by them, and I fell in love immediately. Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump (who has one of my favorite voices. ever.) features in the bridge, and he and Greta combine to make a wonderful, wonderful piece. I love the piano in this one. Where We Went Wrong isn't my favorite song on the album, but it's nice overall, slow and calm, and I swear to god there's some banjo in the background. oO; pretty cool, though, haha. Magnolia is a nice song. Greta sounds great, and I like the piano and guitar. Wine Red is fun, with lots of references to the Garden of Eden, and Bob sounds awesome. Out Through the Curtain is probably my least favorite song on the album, a little too slow for my tastes (at least compared to the rest), and it seems a little anticlimactic. You Are the Moon, though, is just-- heartbreakingly gorgeous. ;; soft and quiet and Greta's voice is beautiful, and I love the lyrics, so much. perfect way to end a great CD.

woo~, so entirely choral pieces this week. :D (and I'm uploading for the third time in a month, yeesh!)

Title: Black Ruby
Artist: ??
Album: Angel Sanctuary OST
Genre: anime soundtrack
Comments: this has been one of my favorite songs for years, and uhm-- it's so pretty. *o* it's dark and eerie and the beginning actually sparkles, and the choir is just so pretty. something about it reminds me of snow, actually, always has. (and if someone reading this can read Japanese, could you kindly check the album link and tell me if I'm wrong in assuming track #9 is "Black Ruby"?)

Title: The Promised Land
Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
Album: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children OST
Genre: movie soundtrack
Comments: this song is so beautiful it's brought me to tears before, no lie. ♥ the choir is just--perfect, I think, and the song itself reminds me of rain. it's a perfect contrast between male and female singers, too.

Title: Misere Mei
Artist: Sarah Brightman
Album: Harem
Genre: choral
Comments: aaah, this song has haunted me ever since I ripped off the wrapping and listened to this CD. *o* heartbreakingly beautiful, it's an adaptation of a classic Christian hymn by the Bach Choir (not Sarah herself; it opens as an introduction to the next song on the album). the only problem is that because it flows into the next song, it cuts off rather abruptly. :/

Title: Kyrie II
Artist: Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi
Album: Death Note OST II
Genre: anime soundtrack
Comments: uhm, okay. so I first heard this song when I watched the first episode of Death Note, and the anime's first opening theme ended, and then-- BAM. instant love, no lie. it immediately blew me away, especially combined with the opening sequence of the anime itself. I would sit there and just replay that scene over and over again because I loved it that much, so imagine my disappointment when I got the first OST for Christmas last year and the song wasn't on it. ;; but then [info]demonography uploaded the second OST, and I almost flipped a gasket when I downloaded it and this was the first song that played. so uhm--DOWNLOAD. srsly. ;; dark and creepy and hauntingly beautiful.

Title: Reason for War
Artist: Michiru Oshima, Moscow International Symphony Orchestra
Album: FullMetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shambala OST
Genre: anime/movie soundtrack
Comments: so if you've watched FullMetal Alchemist at all (except maybe one of the lighter episodes), you've probably heard this song. it features numerous times in the score, often done orchestrally or by female vocalists, but it's the male version that awes me. this piece combines the male choir singer and the orchestra (mainly because it's almost twice as long as the 0:58 long "Shadows Swallow Her"), and it's just-- baa. it haunts me. ;;

jesus, barely three days and a new rotation! O_O; this is odd, haha. but I have lots of stuff I want to upload now, so I decided to just go for it. :]

please remember to comment when you download!

Title: AnyClub
Artist: Hyori Lee ft. Teddy
Album: AnyBEST
Genre: K-hip-hop
Comments: aslkdfj, I think this is one my new favorite songs, omfg. *o* nice and upbeat and urban, and her voice is gorgeous and just perfect for her style. Teddy's voice is awesome, too, and his rapping/singing is great. so much fun to sing along with~ ♥

Title: Jin Hua Lin (Evolution)
Artist: JJ Lin
Album: Cao Cao
Genre: C-hip-hop
Comments: so I downloaded this a while ago and kind of forgot about it, until on a long car ride it wandered onto my playlist and I'm listening to it and going "HOLY SHIT WTF IS THIS. O8" because it was so awesome. he's got an amazing voice (there's this one high note he hits that drives me wild, in the good way, lol). it's not a typical hip-hop-sounding song (at least compared to modern American hip-hop); instead, it has lots of background instrumental. ♥ hip-hop should be more like this, srsly. ALWAYS.

Title: DO tha' DO tha'
Artist: May J.
Album: DO tha' DO tha'
Genre: J-hip-hop
Comments: so while I really do enjoy this song, her voice is sometimes a little too weak for the genre, I think. don't let that stop you, though, because it's a really fun song and the way she sings "DO tha' DO tha' body body" is very fun, and the music in the background of it is what really made this song catch my attention.

Title: Hon
Artist: Epik High
Album: Epik High Vol. 4 - Remapping the Human Soul
Genre: K-hip-hop
Comments: so this song starts off with a rather simple but beautiful strain of piano and quickly bursts into some well-done rapping and a gorgeous (and pleasingly repetetive) chord of violins. all three things weave themselves together in a vaguely creepy but absolutely wonderful hip-hop song. this, to me, is what hip-hop should sound like. dark and urban. mm ♥

Title: Daydream
Artist: AnyBand
Album: ??
Genre: K-hip-hop
Comments: for a band formed simply to promote a cellphone company, they're certainly coherent. jesus, uhm. XD; starts off with church bells and the sound of rain and a very, very creepy music-box melody, quickly joined by dark, urban rhythms. BoA has a very unique voice, absolutely perfect for this song, and there's this one note she hits in the bridge (while singing the line "byeonhaeganeun") that just totally blew me away. freaking awesome, and dark and creepy.

Title: Black Milk
Artist: Massive Attack
Album: Mezzanine
Genre: trip-hop/electronica
Comments: slow, dark and heavy, mmm, I love this song. ♥ nice, solid beat, slippery synth, and a light, airy voice that's a perfect contrast to the background synth. ♥

Title: In the Air Tonight
Artist: Phil Collins
Album: Face Value
Genre: pop/rock
Comments: not a lot of background stuff, but it works perfectly with Phil's voice and the lyrics and the synthesizer he sings through. I love how empty it sounds. ♥

Title: Have You Got it in You?
Artist: Imogen Heap
Album: Speak for Yourself
Genre: trip-hop
Comments: one of my favorite songs off this album. ♥ one of her darker songs, with shimmering synth and a gorgeous, gorgeous voice (you have no idea how much I love it).

Title: Miah's Liberty
Artist: Orka Veer
Album: Sam's Solutions
Genre: trip-hop/experimental/electronica
Comments: my favorite song by him, ever. ♥ it's dark and lonely and quiet, with sparkling synth and I just, alksjfdasdf, I can't even describe this song but I love the whole atmosphere.

Title: From Yesterday
Artist: 30 Seconds to Mars
Album: A Beautiful Lie
Genre: rock
Comments: alksdjfsad, I love this song so much you have no idea. ♥ the verses are just gorgeous, and while I still don't like the melody of the chorus (my only problem with the song), I love the lyrics enough that I just don't care. this song inspired a story, ppl, download it.

Title: My Moon, My Man
Artist: Feist
Album: The Reminder
Genre: alternative/pop
Comments: I love her voice, light and breathy but rich, and this song has a nice, almost jazzy or swing feel to it. :] really catchy.

Title: Dashboard
Artist: Modest Mouse
Album: We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
Genre: indie
Comments: aaah, Modest Mouse tends to create songs like this that just...blow me away. the vocalist takes a bit of getting used to, but he grows on you and I love him. ♥ there's something about the simplicity and repetetiveness of the lyrics that I just adore.

Title: Change
Artist: Monkey Majik feat. Yoshida Brothers
Album: Change
Genre: Jrock/pop
Coments: I know next to nothing about these people, and this song is almost entirely in English, but it's just so catchy and I lovelovelove it. ♥ nice lyrics, awesome music.

Title: Whatever
Artist: Imogen Heap
Album: i Megaphone
Genre: trip-hop/electronica
Comments: this is one of her older songs, but it's totally one of my favorites. *o* very different style than her current one, a little grittier and rougher, and her voice is more raw and less satiny, BUT. it's totally worth a listen to. the bridge is nice and dreamy, and the whole song feels kind of like summer.

Title: Rinse
Artist: Vanessa Carlton
Album: Be Not Nobody
Genre: pop

I'm liking the whole upload-and-link-to thing I did last time, so. :] seeing as I'm lazy.

the following are my favorite songs by Apocalyptica, a metal band consisting almost entirely of cellos. sound strange? give them a shot, they're freaking awesome. (personal favorites include "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Romance.")

oh, and all but one of these is a Metallica cover. :D

01. Fade to Black
heartbreakingly beautiful.
02. For Whom the Bell Tolls
if I were evil? I'd totally want this to be my theme song.
03. One
again, absolutely beautiful.
04. Romance
I'm very, very curious what they were thinking when they wrote this, because it's not what you'd think a song titled "romance" would be. there's something very haunting and powerful about this.
05. The Unforgiven
one of my all-time favorite Metallica songs, and this version's just gorgeous.

I'm feeling rather unmotivated at the moment, so I'll just upload a few of my current favorite songs. :] enjoy~

I've switched uploading services, and am now using box.net, which allows you to actually preview songs before you download! imagine that. let me know if you have any problems with it! I know a few people had some with rapidshare.

Title: 4Ever (Claude Le Gache Vocal Extended Mix)
Artist: The Veronicas
Album: 4Ever Club Remixes
Genre: techno/remix
Comments: this is a long song, but it's totally worth it. *__* admittedly almost half the song is them singing "yeah, yeah," but it grows on you and while it bothered me a little at first I don't care anymore, 'cause the rest of the song is really freaking awesome. they harmonize beautifully with each other, and while the lyrics aren't that meaningful or anything the melody is insanely catchy and their voices are just...awesome. the techno is just freaking amazing.

Title: Gypsy Woman
Artist: Hilary Duff
Album: Dignity
Genre: electropop/techno
Comments: I uploaded this a while back at my old rotation, but I feel the need to do it again because I just looooove this song insane amounts. ♥ it has almost 1000 plays on my winamp, srsly. anyway, it starts a little strangely, but the synth/techno/whatever in this is just amazing, dark and gritty and quite possibly my favorite type. hilary's voice is perfect for this kind of music; it's light and airy and she sounds wonderful against the synthetic backdrop.

Title: Potential Breakup Song
Artist: Aly & AJ
Album: Insomniatic
Genre: electropop
Comments: so if you watch the Disney channel at all you've heard this songs 283424 times, but. I love it. I really, really do. XD the techno is just lots of fun, and while the song can sometimes be pointless, it's a really, really cool song. their voices sound absolutely amazing here, and the way they sing has improved tremendously. again, they have really good voices for this kind of music, just rich enough to fit the heavy, raw techno.

Title: I am in Love With You
Artist: Imogen Heap
Album: Speak for Yourself
Genre: trip-hop
Comments: so when I first saw that she'd written this song I avoided it like the plague, because I find that songs with "I'm in love with you" and such in the titles tend to be, well, kinda crappy. I should have known better, because Immi never does the conventional. this song is one of my favorites off the album, and very different from her other stuff. if you've never heard Immi before, she has this wonderul voice, light and rich and satiny, with an incredible range. the synth in this isn't her usual style--she tends to prefer smoother, more sparkling synth than this raw type--but as usual she does it brilliantly. (btw, she does all the music except for guitars herself.)

Title: The Way I Are
Artist: Timbaland ft. Keri Hilson, D.O.E., and Sebastian
Album: Shock Value
Genre: hip-hop
Comments: I've found myself liking a lot of Timbaland music, be it songs he only features in (like Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back") or songs like this and "Give it to Me." this, though, I think is my favorite. *__* the feel and style are really, really cool, and I think I'd listen to Timbaland if he were just rapping because his voice is just that good. Keri Hilson sounds awesome. and much to my surprise, being a hip-hop song, the lyrics for this are almost romantic. lessened only by the light raunchiness, because you can't have a hip-hop song without some reference to sex (this song's being stripping).

my name's Risen, and I run this MP3 rotation.

just a few things:

please follow the rules when downloading, and leave comments to let me know what you like!

also, I have a very bad habit of not rotating regularly, so I'll make no promises this time around to post, say weekly, or even monthly. just to clear things up.

if you're looking for anything in particular, feel free to browse through the tags! they're organized according to genre, artist and language. :]
