Admin: A post about Tags.
So, going back over the comm I've noticed that the tags aren't being used correctly and part of that is my fault. I didn't do a detailed list of the tags and what they are specifically designed for. To make up for that, please see this list.


ALSO: PLEASE go back and re-tag your fics correctly. I am having a devil of a time catching up (1 hour for 4 days of entries) and I don't think I will be able to do this anymore. If your fics/art are not tagged correctly, no one will be able to find them in order to nominate you and it for next year's Best Of Rayne.

For all fic that continues from 2007. When I have more time I will try to provide individual tags like the ones for 2008.

For fics between 301 and 1000 words. Use only if standalone. DO NOT USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH SERIES TAGS

* 2008: genre - 3some/moresome
Jayne + River + Simon, etc. in romantic or sexual situations. NOT for general crew fics (use genre-gen for that).

* 2008: genre - action/adventure
For use when your fic is primarily an action or adventure piece, or if it applies to a particular portion of your series (please do not use more than 3 genre tags at a time).

* 2008: genre - angst
If your fic makes you cry or rage in frustration, use this tag.

* 2008: genre - au
Firefly done Fairy Tale Style, set in the present, etc. aka: Alternate Universe

* 2008: genre - baby!fic/kid!fic
River and Jayne are having a baby, or the fic is centered on the actions of their children.

* 2008: genre - crack
River and Jayne work at Walmart, have prehensile tails, etc. Stuff that makes you go "WTF?"

* 2008: genre - friendshippy
River and Jayne as friends only. Not yet a romance, or even pre-romance. Just two crew members getting along really well.

General Firefly fiction without any pairings (or only mentions of "canon" pairings, which--for the purposes of THIS COMM--is Simon/Kaylee and Zoe/Wash. Those are the only two couples we KNOW have sex. Period. UST doesn't count).

Silly stuff that is MEANT to make us laugh (without being crack), or are ironic/sarcastic in some way.

Challenges issued at other communities but apply here. ie: firefly100 and ff_friday challenge stories that feature Rayne.

Photos you've manipulated in some way (morphed heads onto new bodies, etc.; combined images that weren't originally together) to put our OTP into a picture that appears to be something new.

Original poetry that you've written about River and/or Jayne.

If you post a poll, use this tag.

* 2008: song fic
Fic written around several verses of ONE SONG. Each section of the fic is usually based on one or two lines. NOT for general lyric fics (where one line is the prompt for your fic). Use the genre tags for that.



If you do not take the time to read this and tag your fics/art correctly then I cannot help you when nominating time comes around next year. Sorry to be so irritable but it seems some of our members missed the tag post. Will be adding this link to the profile page to avoid problems from now on.

Also, please do not forget: All NC-17 fic MUST BE HOSTED at your own LJ (or at another site) and then linked back here with PROPER HEADERS (Title, Author, Rating, Disclaimer, etc.)
