| Intro post... This movie (2003 version) was the first movie I saw in theatres without parental supervision when I had just turned 13, so 'tis a special film to me. I recently watched it again and now I'm hooked... I don't exactly have any contributions for the community right now, but you can definitely expect some art from me eventually, and maybe fanfiction. Hey, it's been kind of quiet here. . . doesn't anyone like Willard anymore? :( Anyway, I recently read Ratman's Notebooks, the book Willard was based on. Has anyone else read it? I was so delighted to find it in my school's library. ( what happens in the book! Spoilers of course ) Oh, and I'm sharing this wallpaper I made a while ago:  You can find it and other Willard stuff at my graphics journal. The Black Science Institute Brainstorming Thread. OP's post: AgentSubversion Jan 11, 2005 Amazed by human absurdity I have recently perfected my army of electric wire eating rats. I stuffed grain into hollow wire and fed the rats by tossing these cables into their nest. After a year and 3 months I now have over 400 rats that assume food cames from inside electric and CAT5 wiring. A second test group has been trained to eat through automobile tires in their neverending search for food. I had some problems with noise, as tires popping 4 times a day can get a bit old, but now that I give them low pressure tires it's less of a problem. I've also found just patching the tires and reusing them works fine, and the grain inside the tires even help the patching process. Where should I release my rats for maximum disruption? Anyone else have projects running? Other information: narby came out of the closet to say: What the christ. You own 400 rats? ---------------------------------------- Of course not, I keep them locked in storage units that I rent under fake names. When it comes time to release them I'll probably just open the doors and run for the hills. Not very scientific, I know, but I'm on a limited budget. Ænima came out of the closet to say: Are you using the white lab rats or their feisty norwegian ancestors? ---------------------------------------- These here rats are genetically engineered super rats that can jump up to 6 feet in the air. I found a few in a pet store, surrounded by the corpses of the wuss rats that were unlucky enough to be confined with them. The rest, as they say, is history. Dr. Lemon-Fresh came out of the closet to say: As a doctor, it is my professional opinion that the correct application of black science would be in the field of putting rollerskates on things that should not have rollerskates. ---------------------------------------- That is quite an interesting idea there, Doctor. Mayhaps some kind of reptile? They scamper a lot, therefor they wouldn't accumulate enough traction on a sleek surface to get anywhere. Edit: If we can craft enough of the skates and build a little rat sized skate arena for them to learn in, I'd be willing to add skates to the automotive attack rats. Then they could attack cars at red lights and escape on their wheels of paw. I'm afraid too much time in a ratrink would cause them to crave Ace of Base though. ETA: Watch for rats on rollerskates. |

My friend let me borrow her Willard VHS for a week (starting last Tuesday) after a moment in class when she saw my phone (which had a picture of Crispin Glover as George McFly for the background) and she said "Hey! That's Willard!" and then I started saying things about how badly I wanted to see that movie (I hadn't seen it yet!), so she decided that I could borrow it. I fell in love with it (of course I did, it's Crispin Glover -- what's not to love?) and have watched it a lot in just a week's time. I decided that I then must buy it on DVD so I could watch it whenever I felt like it, and I just now had the chance to get to Borders to buy it. The cashier was interesting; she said she had never seen it but everyone had recommended it so I said "Oh, yes, it's terrific! You absolutely must see it, it's fabulous," and then she told me how she had pet rats and she was the Year of the Rat and stuff and she had a whole rat theme going. Hopefully I convinced her to go see Willard... [I'm also new to this community. I've watched the community for a while and joined a few days ago, and this is my first post. My name is Hilary. -extends hand- Marvelous community you've got going here. I've got several ideas for some fanfiction running through my head, if I'm lucky enough to find enough time and inspiration to get them written down I'll post them. :) And perhaps once I have Adobe PS working again, I'll try my hand at some Willard icons.... ] |

I'm new.... Last week I suddenly, unexpectedly became a pervy Crispin Glover fancier. My brother had Back to the Future I on while I was trying to do my art coursework, and after protesting because I couldn't concentrate, I looked over and realised how pretty he is!! So then of course I had to watch Willard. And oh god, it was the best movie I've seen since.... ever. After a lot of searching I found this community. So here I am!! And there will hopefully be a lot of fanfiction from me. Paws, quivers and sniffles. .... I'm Rather Shy .... |
