Community Profile

I think the community name pretty much says it all, but for anyone who doesn't understand: ratattitude is just that, a pet rat community. With attitude.

We're not elitest (okay, maybe sometimes), we don't require applications ... hell, we don't even have moderated membership. Want to join? Go right ahead!

HOWEVER... we don't coddle people who blatantly abuse, neglect, or otherwise mistreat their rats knowingly or out of ignorance. You WILL be boxed around the ears and told what you're doing wrong, and then you'll be expected to fix the problem(s). Shape up or ship out - we don't take too kindly to stupid around these here parts.

ALSO... Pet rats. This community is for pet rats only. Posting about feeder rats (rats that are intended to be reptile food, not rats who have become pets from the feeder bin, got it?) for whatever reason will piss all of the members off, especially me, and you'll be tossed out on your ears. Just don't do it.

For my sanity, we have the golden rules. And they are as follows:

1) Don't be stupid. Take that as you will.
2) Play nice. If a post turns into a three page flamewar, I'll probably get pretty pissed and ban the lot of you out of spite.
3) Have fun! Post pictures, stories, questions, start contests, I don't care.

We also have a few advanced rules. Learn them and love them.

1) No, you can't be a mod. This is my sandbox. Mine! I highly, highly doubt I'll take on a mod unless it's one to act in my absence for whatever reason. When I need one, I'll ask.
2) If you're going to advertise your community/site/product/whatevs, at least make sure it's animal related. If it isn't, I'll delete the post as soon as I see it and ban you, because you made me unhappy.
3) If you're having trouble with a person being mean to you or bullying you around, poke me, I'll smack them around for you. If you DESERVE the beating, I'll smack you around. Got it?
4) If you make an "omg u guyz r so mean im leaving!" post, you're going to bring out my bad side. You don't want to see my bad side.
5) If you disable, screen, or delete comments, you're going to be banned. Period. Because that pisses me off.

Rules may be modified at any time. If modifications are made, I'll post about it so there's no excuse for having "not known." Keep yourself up to date. I'm not really strict, but I'll be doing what I can to keep this place from turning into a total cesspool of complete stupid.
