Hopefully it can become an archive to reference when you need a fic-fix for that pairing you just can't find anywhere else! There are several posts you might like to take a quick read through before you join and/or start posting. This post you're reading now outlines the yay's and nay's of this community, and has the guidelines for posting fic. In addition to this post, you might be interested in this one about the twice-monthly challenges. Questions, problems and comments can be posted here (where all comments are screened) and if you have any suggestions or ideas, I'm always open to hearing them! I want this place to stay as fun and active as possible :) -- There aren't that many rules here, but they are important... 1. No original fic, RPFS or anime. This community is for rare tv series & movies fanfic/rare pairings and smaller fandoms, not original fiction. I enjoy writing original fic too, and there are lots of communities out there that cater to original fiction writers -- this just isn't one of them. 2. Femslash only. Your fic can contain m/m or het pairings but it must be primarily focused on a f/f rare pairing. If you want to post rare boyslash, try rareslash instead.3. LJ cut, LJ cut, LJ cut! Put all the header information above the cut, then cut the fic. It saves flist pages and makes it easier to scroll for what you're looking for. Outlines for posting fic are below, and if you're interested in joining in the twice-monthly challenge, this post tells you everything you need to know :) 4. Links to fics posted to your own journal (or elsewhere) are fine, but if you're mimicking an LJ cut, please be kind enough to mention it so no one gets surprised. 5. Use the below format, or some variation of it, when you post your fic. It makes things easier to archive to memories (particularly if you remember to format your subject line!), and helps people out -- these are rarer fandoms and not everyone will know them. Please format your subject: Title of fic (Fandom, Pairing/Names. Rating.) 6. Include appropriate warnings for adult/upsetting/squicky content. This is non-negotiable. Any rating goes but if your fic is adult, label it adult. 7. Fic can be posted at any time, as often as you like! If you've written some rare femslash, let us know about it. We might need to *squee!* ;) 8. Icons and other media are allowed here by majority vote. That said, try not to overload the fic with icons, m'kay? Keep it to just a post or two a week... after all, you can always link to further posts when you post fic *unsubtle hint* -- If you'd like to suggest a smaller fandom to be listed in the interests and the master list I'll be compiling over time, please comment to this post.
