I, too, pondered these distinctions.

The 'unicorn' is flying - unless held up by the 'pegasus' penis.

The 'pegasus' has a single horn - making it, by definition, a unicorn.

In the end I came to the conclusion that either the tattooist or the tattooee doesn't give a shit.

I don't think that's a horn, I think it's a lock of hair. It doesn't look like the other one's horn (small and not spiraling). Or perhaps it is a horn, and it is smaller because the creature is a unicorn/pegasus hybrid! And maybe they are not flying, but floating on a cloud! I'm such a geek!!! DX
