HAHA! Well, if you're moving for the beignets, make sure you move to New Orleans. And then you'll become fat because there are a BUNCH of tasty things in addition to beignets that reside in New Orleans.

Things such as crawfish etoufee. Gumbo. Boudin balls. Hush puppies. Seafood gumbo. Chicken and sausage gumbo. Sausage jambalaya. Dirty rice. Boudin sausage. Andouille sausage. Fried frogs legs. Fried catfish. Fried any seafood. Boiled crawfish... crawfish bisque.... pecan pralines... shrimp etoufee... chaudin... ham hocks... alligator sausage... The list goes on and on and on...

Gawd, I love being Cajun.

Dammit! How could I forget shrimp poboys! Well, seriously, poboys of all kinds. So good.

Randomly-- I find that really off-the-road places in little towns can be some of the best places to find poboys. There's this one place between New Orleans and Lafayette that makes poboys and they put about a pound of whatever meat you want into your poboy. Seriously.

I'm not so much for the boiled crabs. Too hard for me to crack open. Yes, I'm lazy.

first thing to know before visiting the Cafe Du Monde? Don't wear black.. second thing? the tables will be sticky, and no amount of wiping will un-sticky them.. but you know what? it's soooooooo worth it...
