Hello and welcome to the Rammstein Icontest, a cheap knockoff of every other 'icontest' community out there. (the idea for this specific icontest was from antoinette.) Please read ALL of what is in this bio-section because there's a lot you need to know before you can participate. :)



Okay. So what IS an 'icontest'? Simple. Every 2 weeks there will be a theme, such as an individual member of the band or an adjective all the icons must be centered around. After people submit their icons, the members vote and then the winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd places and sometimes a mod's choice) each get a pretty banner they can put in their userinfo.



There are RULES, right? Yup. They aren't too hard to follow though.



[001] Read all challenge rules throughly and carefully. They are your guidelines and won't steer you wrong. Don't follow the challenge rules and you'll be disqualified. Feel free to ask any questions you might have to clarify the challenge rules.

[002] Only enter the specified amount of icons the challenge dictates. If the challenge information says ONE, then submit ONE. If the challenge says TWO, don't submit more than TWO.

[003] If the theme involves a specific picture you must use, THEN USE IT. And don't put it on top of another picture at 10% opacity to be a smartass. Make it so we can see the pic, please. On the same note, if the theme involves a specific lyric you must use, THEN USE IT.

[004] When submitting your icon, please do it like so,

[005] Need a place to host your icons? Photobucket, Imageshack, and Webpost are all free and allow direct linking.

[006] All icons must be 100x100 or smaller, 40k or smaller, and in gif/jpeg/jpg/png format.



[001] Drama = BIG NO. You start drama, you get your ass warned. You keep starting drama, you get banned. The mods are usually nice but they all hate drama do don't do it!

[002] Do not and I repeat DO NOT cheat. This means voting for yourself or using extra account things like that and yes it gets noticed. Usually when one person gets six or seven votes from usernames we've never seen before? It's an indication of foul play and you will get suspended or banned for doing so.

[003] Don't use any of the submitted icons unless you ask the person who made it. AND MAKE SURE YOU CREDIT THE MAKER.

[004] DO NOT REQUEST ICONS



What days do we vote/submit crap/etc? Here's the schedule.

- SATURDAY NIGHT/SUNDAY MORNING: Theme is announced and icon submissions can begin.

- FOLLOWING SUNDAY NIGHT/MONDAY MORNING: Reminder.

- FOLLOWING FRIDAY: Submitting is CLOSED, and voting begins.

- SATURDAY NIGHT/SUNDAY MORNING: Winners are announced as well as the new theme. :D

- MONDAY-WEDNESDAY (depending on the banner maker's schedule): Banners given out to last theme's winners.

Got it? One of the mods should post reminders when a day is close. And, some weeks the contest will be CLOSED. People have lives. We will post and let you know beforehand what's up.



How does voting work? At least one of the mods will always have a paid account so there will be a poll. All results will be private, only the poll creator can see. So don't worry if you don't want the person who made the icon you voted for to know you voted.

What if I win and really friggin' hate the banner you made for me? You can stuff i-- I mean, you can ask for a new one, but after the second is made you're stuck with it. XD

Can mods enter icons? As of now, yes, but only because we're short on members. This may change however. And mods do not get special privileges, they have to follow the same rules as everyone else.
