[22 Oct 2007|01:17pm] |
So... I have a question for people. I am VERY nervous and I have no idea how to deal with this situation.
So, this guy I've been dating is a virgin. It's not a big problem, but what's the problem is that all he's done is kissing with a girl... and not even very much of that with his ex-girlfriends. So, I'm having to teach him how to be with a girl and do stuff, and it IS kind of awkward because I don't really know how to teach him stuff, since most of the guys I've been with have already been with another girl or at least have had SOME knowledge of what to do, even when I was with my ex. He had at least SOME knowledge of what to do, and we were both virgins when we started doing stuff so we were BOTH learning.
(On a side note, I'm 20, and he's 23 (almost 24). I'm the first girlfriend he's had for a very long time. His longest relationship is about 4 months and mine is almost 2 years. Totally different.)
Can someone help me on how to either demonstrate or tell him or show him how to do stuff? We have gotten pretty hot and heavy with each other in the past week or so, and I just don't want him to regret losing his virginity to me if it happens. I also don't want him to think that I have a problem with him being a virgin... because I don't at all. I just have a slight problem that he doesn't really know very much about how to do the stuff that comes beforehand.
I need help on if I should like tell him about stuff, or if I should buy him a book or just suggest books or something for him? I mean, I do have Guide to Getting It On at my house that I could have him read. I'm just totally unsure on how I should approach this and what's the best way to make it less awkward if I need to teach him. I don't want to have to be telling him everything while he's doing stuff, since it would kinda ruin the mood (in my opinion).
Well, I just need some suggestions....

| Chocolate Taste Test,/CR's Chocolates Ratings |
[13 Feb 2007|03:32pm] |
Our trained tasters have identified eight of the most delectable gift-boxed confections you'll find. Each is unique, but they share just-made freshness; smooth chocolate; hints of real butter and cream; and fruit fillings and herbal infusions that taste like the real thing. (by consumer report.org)
1.Norman Love Confections: At the top of CR's list, unusual fillings are the hallmark of these fresh, ultra-smooth chocolates. Cost: $55 for 30 pieces
2.Woodhouse Chocolate Assortment: A one-pound box will set you back $68, but CR rates it "Excellent" for its ultra-smooth chocolate and amazing flavors.
3.Candinas 36-Piece Box: In third place, these were also ultra-smooth with exceptional flavored centers and hints of fresh cream and butter. Cost: $41
4.Jacques Torres / Jacques' Choice: A CR Best Buy in the "Excellent" category, for $48 you can try filling flavors such as tropical fruit, key lime and chili pepper.
5.Godiva New 36-Piece Gold Ballotin: At $36 and a CR Best Buy, this "Very Good" box features mostly traditional fillings in a variety of textures and flavors.
6.See's Famous Old-Time Assorted: Another CR Best Buy in the "Very Good" category, it received high marks for fresh nuts and real butter flavor -- and only costs $14.
7.Lindt Classics: "Good," but some pieces (notably the round truffles) had a fatty, lard-like filling. Rasberry was one of the best pieces. Cost: $27
8.Lindt Classics: "Good," but some pieces (notably the round truffles) had a fatty, lard-like filling. Rasberry was one of the best pieces. Cost: $27
9.Russell Stover: For $9 and a "Good" rating, you get mostly artificial flavors for fillings and a low chocolate flavor in the milk chocolate, with a bit more in dark.
10.Whitman's Sampler: This one improved since last year, moving up from "Fair" to "Good." The reason: Lower-quality pieces were removed and a fresher taste.

| Romantic Destinations |
[12 Feb 2007|06:43pm] |
What is it about lovers in love? They seem to want to celebrate the discovery of each other with a journey of discovery. Indeed travel and romance seem to go hand-in-hand. Whether you are planning a Valentine's getaway, honeymoon or anniversary trip, these locations can't help but to inspire love and romance.
<3 Bruges, Belgium <3 When you think of romantic destinations in Europe, inevitably Paris and London come to mind first, but there's a smaller European city that deserves just as much attention for its romantic attributes -- Bruges, Belgium.
<3 Tahiti <3 For a very different yet equally thrilling romantic experience, head to the other side of the world, the South Pacific. Just the name of the region connotes an air of mystery as well as natural beauty. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in Tahiti, where sparkling blue waters and native culture combine to create romance on overdrive.
<3 Little Torch Key, Fla. <3 If you're looking for a beach thatched-roof bungalow a little closer to home, check into Little Palm Island Resort in the Florida Keys. Just off Little Torch Key, the island resort is only accessible by boat or seaplane.
<3 California Wine Country <3 A more affordable stateside romantic escapade can be found in California Wine Country, in the alluring Napa and Sonoma valleys. There are ample opportunities to get out and enjoy the environment -- wine tasting, hot air ballooning, golfing, biking, horseback riding.
<3 The Orient Express <3 Think outside of the box or rather inside the rail car when it comes to Europe's most romantic cities -- Paris and Venice. This way the romance can be in both the journey as well as the destinations. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express which is lauded as the world's most romantic train journey travels between these two cities in an overnight ride not to be forgotten.

Color means emotion and this Valentine's you can express every feeling in your heart with a presentation of roses in colors that say what's on your mind -- or what's in your heart!
Red -- The red rose tells your Valentine without a doubt, "I love you." A vibrant and dramatic color, it stands for romance and passion. It's the perfect choice for your true love, the love of a lifetime or someone you want to get the message it's time to "get serious."
White -- Tells your angel of a Valentine that they're simply "heavenly," and is a great color for the romantic in your life! White roses also stand for innocence, which makes it a perfect color choice for dads to give daughters.
Red & White Together -- By themselves these red and white roses are gorgeous, but together, they symbolize unity. What a great surprise for the Newlywed Valentine, loving partner or to send to your parents to say "Thanks for being such a great symbol of love through the years!"
Pink -- Send deep pink roses and you're telling that someone special you appreciate their sense of grace, style and their gentle nature. Send them light pink roses and you're saying "I really admire you!" This rose color is just the right pick to send to someone you want to become your special Valentine and sign the card, "Love, your secret admirer."
Yellow -- Could there be any other color but bright sunny yellow roses that symbolize friendship, affection and joy? Send your best friend a bunch of these stunning blooms with a card that says, "You'll be my best friend forever!"
Coral or Orange -- You caught their eye, they caught your eye. There's smoke, now there's a chance for fire. Send orange roses, the color of desire, and wait for passion to ignite.
Deep Burgundy -- Beautiful doesn't even begin to compare to your Valentine, but they're unaware of how stunning they truly are. Burgundy roses, which mean "unconscious beauty," are the right choice for this shy Valentine.
Red & Yellow Blends -- Red and yellow roses together symbolize joy, happiness and excitement! Gather these gorgeous blooms into one dozen or buy a single stem of each color and put in individual bud vases for a statement of love that your Valentine will never forget!
Lavender -- It's love at first sight with this unique rose color. The moment you saw your Valentine, your heart skipped a beat. Send a gorgeous array of lavender roses and tell your Valentine once again, "I fall in love all over again every time I see you."
Stand Up and Be Counted! The amount of roses can also take on special meaning for you and your Valentine.
Take a few roses out of a dozen and surprise your sweetie when they least expect it. Leave a single rose, which stands for simplicity and love, on their nightstand or by their breakfast.
Two roses taped or wired together to form a single stem signals an engagement or coming marriage. This is a great way to propose!

Originally published at Memories of Matthew. Please leave any comments there. Yesterday, Katlyn and I spent the whole day together. She said she wanted to do something different, so I decided to take her to a driving range. Not only was it a way for us to try something new, but it also let me whack a couple of balls. The driving range helped me get rid of some extra aggression and tension. The only problem was I couldn't hit the damn things. Half the time, my swing would miss everything except the air. Katlyn was just as bad. Most of the time, we would look up at each other and simply laugh at our futile attempts to drive the balls. Now I know for the next time not to buy the jumbo bucket of balls, it is way too many.

Originally published at Memories of Matthew. Please leave any comments there. Friday night I had the time of my life. In fact, it has been an unbelievable weekend altogether. I went on my first date with Katlyn. I know we have spent a couple of afternoons hanging out, but Friday night was the first time we actually labeled it a date. She put the whole night in my hands, so for starters, I decided to take her out to eat. This time, instead of a public school setting or my dorm, I made sure to pick a spot as romantic and personal as possible. The whole “movie idea” did come to mind, but since I don’t know her as well as I would like to, I thought it would be better to sit down and just converse. Going to the movies is fun and all, but I always felt it doesn’t give you time to chitchat. Instead, you are concentrating on the screen, not your date.
We had a great time in each others company and the food was incredible. After we ate our main meal, I told her not to have dessert. I took her to this little cafwhere they serve the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. I let her try a bite and she instantly fell in love with the taste. She kept asking me to give her just one more taste in a cute, soft-spoken voice. It was genuinely cute and every time she spoke, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.

I seem to have come upon a time where i am a romantic. it's actually kind of surprising to me. i've been looking for someone to get involved in a community i'm starting.
i have a question to pose to people. i have to wonder if i went ahead with my date-my-friend project, would you want to read it, see it, or even be a part of it?
Yes I am also seeking/asking for a person interested in being an introduction into the date my friend project! it would be fun, introduce people to new people and involve a run down of how things turn out. i think i'm going to go forward with it under a screened comment format, and screening of everything. including applicants and questions to at least two friends who have had previous mingling with the persons.
or if you know anyone who would be interested in being an object of lust/interest and the center of a communities attention for about three weeks or however long it goes along for.
if you are interested you can leave a comment in my journal, or email me at palest_star@yahoo.ca

Hey, I'm new to this community and I made a sex journal that I just started, and I need friends on it... so if anyone would be interested, just go to this journal and comment.
There is going to be a variety of things that I'll talk about, not just one thing, so if you're interested, please go to this journal. However, it won't just be of sex, it's mostly a completely personal journal.
Thank you so much if you're interested in reading about me.

| Anniversary Gift Ideas? HELP! |
[23 May 2006|02:35am] |
What should I get my husband for our 11th anniversary? I'm very much in love with him and want to do something romantic, but he's a somewhat practical guy and he's not big into romantic gifts that just sit there doing nothing.
Things he likes:
- dark chocolate (but he has plenty) - weird food (but he buys his own all the time, so it's not special) - gourmet (same as above) - esoterica (but that's hard to come up with, by definition!) - anything odd or weird (same as above) - animals (but we already have too many pets) - computers (but I know nothing about them and he'd rather purchase what he wants himself) - electronics (same as above)
Things he dislikes:
- baubles and knick knacks - jewelry for men - knives - sports - golf
The perfect gift, in my opinion, would be something lovey and romantic like an antique key in a box that says "the key to my heart" or something sweet like that, but it would have to actually DO something for him to like it. It can't be just something that sits there looking quaint and cute... He's not into that.
D: Any ideas or am I just sort of out of luck?

| Happy Valentines Day~! |
[14 Feb 2006|01:58pm] |
|
Valentine's Day is a special day observed on February 14. On this day, people send greeting cards called valentines to their sweethearts, friends, and members of their families. Many valentines have romantic verses, and others have humorous pictures and sayings. Many say, "Be my valentine."
For weeks before February 14, stores sell valentines and valentine decorations. Schoolchildren decorate their classrooms with paper hearts and lace for the occasion. On Valentine's Day, many people give candy, flowers, and other gifts to their friends.
