| Description: | Discussion of upcoming television show Rage of Angels |
This comm is devoted to the discussion of a, hopefully, upcoming television series called "Rage of Angels". Created by Stargate veteran, Christopher Judge, the story deals with the Archangel Gabriel, played by Judge and the misunderstood Lucifer, played by fellow Stargate veteran Michael Shanks.
Yes, I suppose I'm jumping the gun, but shoot. Why not?
From Michael Shanks' May 9 interview with IF Magazine. (This will do until a more complete and or official description becomes available.)
"...Christopher Judge has written a script called RAGE OF ANGELS, that he told me late in the game that I was attached to it. [Laughs] MGM is going to produce the pilot for and we’re going to make it a series. Brad Turner from 24 fame is on taps to direct. I’m actually in Los Angeles right now and that’s what we’re here about. Hopefully, we’ll shoot it by late fall and we’ll see where that goes. Chris’ character is basically Gabriel, who has come to Earth find the Angel Michael who has disappeared and he’s basically fed up with the rules of heaven preventing interaction on any level. He casts away the rules of heaven and decides to go look for Michael and in the process hunt down whatever Lucifer brings to the table, and oddly enough I’ll be playing Lucifer. [Laughs] It’ll be an interesting dynamic there. I’ll be playing a misunderstood guy; someone with daddy issues."
According to this interview with Christopher Judge (March 13, 2008? No specific date given on the site.) they hope to go to camera in June 2008 with a Fall or Winter release. A two hour movie as well as a one hour pilot is projected.
Thanks to everyone for keeping a close eye on the net and feeding us info!
The Rules Thus Far
As long as everyone plays nicely, there will be no moderation on this community. I do reserve the right to delete inappropriate posts as I deem necessary. I couldn't care less about language or sexual content, but flaming will not be tolerated, nor will thin-skinned whining. The nature of the show we're going to be discussing *will* inevitably lead to discussions of religion, in general. There. Will. Be. No. Proselytizing. This is fiction dealing with Christian mythology. Discussion of how it differs from various bits of dogma is welcome. Rants about how anyone who would create/watch/discuss this is damned and going to hell will be moderated. Repeat offenders will be banned. No appeals, no second chances.
This community is intended for adult use so unless you've got liberal, open-minded parents, you shouldn't be here if you're under 18. If you're over 18, you should be able to co-exist with others without attempting to impose your views on someone else and without feeling threatened by someone else's views when they differ from your own.
Gonna borrow from Star Trek now: "Infinite diversity in infinite combinations." Words to live by.
