This was a very difficult day in her recovery because of stomach distress, the under prescribing of meds and fever.

As Susan is one very tough lady, one very tough and loving Alpha female, a self-made woman, a biker poet of the kind, who can make one dream of free and open roads, metaphorically and other wise.

It is quite painful watching her battle Hodgkin's Disease and being humbled by anything, to be perfectly honest.

Apparently from the reaction in the Deli, to my reaction, (wink-although we all do grieve differently) it was very quiet for other reasons than that news flash, as it would turn out that this was the first many of us was hearing the news of his being as dead as a puppet.

The thoughtful elderly man made the comment about how sad it was that they had found Falwell dead on the floor, all alone like they did, going on about how he had touched so many lives.

In fairness, the sanctimonious old goat from Liberty Baptist did touch many lives and poisoned even more, well perhaps not like some of his colleagues, who like to play good touch bad touch, with male prostitutes and the help, in the form of busty female office assistants, sporting a “just about respectable” skirt length and an eye full of cleavage, the center of which, frames a gold cross in between two beautiful mounds of temptation, as though it were a cherry, on an a frat boy’s ice cream sundae.

Reverend Falwell did not touch others lustfully, that we know of, but in a way just as harmful, as the act rape or some typhoid Mary of this world fornicating in a brothel,
as hate contaminates us all.

His brand of self-righteous hate is a deadly and contagious disease.

He, as the head of Liberty Baptist College, weaving his interpretation of the mind of god, with scripture, in his smarmy little ole lectures, gave hate, in the form of misogyny, homophobia and that most traitorous, Anti-American of things, religious intolerance, a respectable
face, just as he gave snake oil peddlers a bad name.

Just as surely, as his words helped to protect and defend those guilty of hate crimes, most especially when those accused of violating the civil rights of others, attempted to use his writings and biblical law, including much of Leviticus, that many Jews and Christians alike, have abandoned.

This foul man fattened on the self-righteous teat of intolerance, being sainted in death makes me want to k’vetch, because in death he may well lay a foundation for even more hate crimes.

In the future, as the ball he set into motion of turning the great works of Christ, under the banner of his brand of fundamentalism, into a second rate hate group, rolls good people of Christ downhill, religious fascism IE Christian Nationalism shall grow.

Publicly he would never be heard to say anything as uncouth as fag or carry a sign that says God Hates Fags, but you can be sure that money from him and his causes, found its way into the radical fringe, which is why he was always quick to point a finger at others.

While I am reasonably certain he would never light a cross on fire, I would not put it past him to roast a weenie on the fire of one. It is all a question of degree.

For those among you, that rare breed, the Bill of Right’s Loving, fiscal conservatives, who like to wink at your liberal friends, while patting yourselves on the back among your own greedy political kind because a conservative Supreme Court ruled against Jerry Falwell’s hurt feelings, when smut peddling Larry Flynt published a satire in Flynt’s publication, Hustler Magazine, of Reverend Falwell’s first time, with his mama in an outhouse, in a Campari wine satire; “Who are you trying to kid?”

My chastisement goes to conservative Catholics too. When this ilk of Christian gets done with their pet victims, they will come after Papists and Jews, although Mel Gibson should have kept his mouth shut a bit longer.

You fiscal types even gave money to Charles Keating (of the Keating 5) to help Falwell with his legal bills during the days when Republicans, like the not-so-forgtten other Bush brother, Neil Bush, was, with a little help from his friends, looting the Savings and Loans of this country.

If “W” was a draft dodger then Neil, with a little help from Daddy, is a prison dodger.

In my class, being the elitist swine that I am oft called by the ignorant and easily offended, we call that bad breeding.

Unlike; One bad apple not spoiling the whole bunch, girl, if you let an onion rot in a barrel, the blight spreads throughout, which seems to be what happened with the Bush breeding program, that claims at least one old dead Nazi in it.

Prescott Bush, in addition to countless members of Skull and Bones, which the last time I looked, does not allow Evangelical Christians in its order, so which is it “W”?

Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows but do you really have to sell your good ethics and your soul in the process to make a buck, through appeasing the Falwell’s and Robertson’s of the world?

How greedy can you be?

As for the scene at the deli today, upon hearing the news of Reverend Falwell dropping to the ground, like a fly that had ingested some disagreeable karma, it was a choice between either being true to myself and my sense of humor, regarding sanctimonious haters like Falwell dropping dead or choking on my sandwich, made by a nice Jewish man, because I did not let go and laugh hysterically.

(Mel Gibson take note. Right now anyway, forget all the rhetoric from Falwell’s predecessors about Jews having horns and killing Jesus. That is so pre-civil rights movement. They are the chosen, therefore safe, for the moment anyway, more so than the Catholics.)

My laugh was not one of those little tee-hee-hee, the witch is inhaling helium laughs, but a big ole “mad as a hater”, infectious, Russian style, belly laugh that had everyone including the old man himself, laughing, the one who had earlier commented on the sadness.

My only regret is that he did not end up naked in bed with a 16 year old prostitute, make it a boy or another race and religion. That would have been classic and more dramatic that the old bastard deserved.

For my critics who say in that mocking tone, “You are a spiritual leader! We pagans are not supposed to judge. We are not supposed to say bad things about the dead, yaddah.”

OK

Good, he’s dead!

Can we have a chorus of “Ding Dong The Prick Is Dead?

NAMASTE,
The Faery King

It Would Be Hysterically Funny Were He Not Serious.

God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve. Rev. Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians, feminists, homosexuals, and abortion rights supporters for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to which Rev. Pat Robertson agreed, quoted from John F. Harris, "God Gave U.S. 'What We Deserve,' Falwell Says," The Washington Post (September 14, 2001) And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way - all of them who have tried to secularize America - I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen." Rev. Jerry Falwell The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this. -- Rev. Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to which Rev. Pat Robertson again agreed, quoted from AANEWS #958 by American Atheists (September 14, 2001) I sincerely believe that the collective efforts of many secularists during the past generation, resulting in the expulsion from our schools and from the public square, has left us vulnerable. -- Rev. Jerry Falwell, after the 700 Club broadcast wherein he had blamed civil libertarians, feminists, homosexuals, and abortion rights supporters for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, speaking to The New York Times, quoted from Dick Meyer, "Holy Smoke," CBS News (September 15, 2001)

www.positiveatheism.org/hist/q...ell.htm

I am so jealous of all you lucky faeries at Short Mountain! I am once again not coming. Maybe one day... Usually, we do something here in D.C.; a public maypole dance to remind the city that we are here, a bonfire in my backyard, maybe a movie night at someone's house. We just had movie night at Fritter's a few hours ago. But, I couldn't have gone anyway because of finals due this weekend and a phone interview on Monday. Darn! But I send a shout out to you all. Have fun for all of us! Tell Puppy that we said hello! YoooooooHoooooooo!

Of Suicide And Judgement

In my family 6 have gone, in my lifetime alone, by the energy and will of their own hand.

They say that this type of self-destruction is a sickness of, among others, the Scandinavians, something perhaps from the Baltic Sea, the environment of those in the North.

Maybe certain illnesses like bipolar Disease, Schizophrenia, Seasonal Effective Disorder and Clinical Depression, a byproduct of whatever is there in that atmosphere, will not allow certain children to live reach their destiny.

This legacy seems to have been carried by the vikings, as they made friends and influenced people, in between all that raping and pillaging of course.

Another deception in Church History, is that the filthy vile unwashed heathen did nothing except murder and steal.

Blue eyed, blond haired English and Irish, are living examples of assimilation, unlike the now missing natives of islands in the New World, North and South America, who suffered the genocide of Christopher Columbus, with the Vatican Seal of approval, on the deed of the worst kind of terrorism.

As for The Church chiming in, on the matter of mental illness, suicide in this case, how many of histories serial killers have been pardoned because they helped to make princes of the church rich?

Am I truly so evil, for pointing these things out, considering the masters of torture, in the Spanish Inquisition, are snugly tucked away, buried in sacred ground, and that Luther, father of the reformation, a man who wanted Jews enslaved and chained to plowshares, set the tone for the evil of Hitler's army of darkness to exterminate, making soap and lamp shades of the children, them themselves call the chosen, that he Luther is praised above all men by so many Protestants.

Many of us have heard how the more disgusting, in a minority of their number, manifest in the form of priests, are prone to telling those family left behind, that their loved one will burn crispy for eternity because he or she took her own life.

How many war criminals of various wars are buried in Catholic cemeteries sounds like a bad frigid joke unless you are the little boy or girl of the parents executed by leaders carrying a Papal blessing.

The family is even denied having the loved one, now departed, buried in sacred ground because they exercised their will and not God's, in surrendering unto death.

Might I point out to such learned men (and they all do have penises, by church decree anyway, as far as we know, except for maybe one pope, who is believed to have been a lady.), that these men of knowledge brewed like bad beer, in a seminary, do not have the keys to God's mind or kingdom, and regardless of what they hide in the Vatican Library, in the form of tomes upon shelves after shelves, soaked in the blood of heretics, martyrs under the watchful eye of a De-Nazified Pope, they would not understand God's Will if it bit them on their fine fabric covered asses.

It infuriates me that these modern day Pharisees, Master Televised Pastors, from the Protestant Evangelical Odor (What is that Smell, I must ask upon viewing charlatans like Benny Hinn, thieves like Jim Baker, haters like that prick Jerry Foulwell and most recently, our friend Ted Haggard?, who discovered that Jesus and Crystal Meth, along with something extra hard do mix with hypocrisy and fundamentalist Christianity?)

I do believe in the power of the divine but how many of you really believe that he does not, at least think, of being rammed by a nice stiff one, as he sings praises for his cure and deliverance.

I admire those with compulsions, addictions and predilections unhealthy for them, who over come but what I can't stomach is a so-called man of god who will dwell in the land on the Pharaohs, known as De-Nile, in order not to lose his meal ticket, in the form of a congregation.

The shaman and the artist within me does favor Rome for sentimental reasons, because I have laid on my back, to witness the splendor of the Sistine Chapel ceiling and I have had the company of one Pope in my life, in the form of a very grandfatrherly John Paul II.

Yes, once I forget the ghosts of those of the same evil design as Cardinal Richelieu and a few Roman Catholic Cardinals on the way of history, some fat on the sperm of little boys and the blood of their own people, it is easy to forget, if only one could forget the "vile sin" of an institution said to represent one of the greatest magicians that ever lived, one that died for the principle of salvation and liberation, beaten. scourged and hung up like a goat.

It bothers me that these paragons of hypocrisy of the so-called gentile and godly world, would dare, dare to doom a fellow Divine Being, as we all are, if you accept you have a soul, one cut of the same cloth of Gods and/or angels, formed from the same spirit, that they would dare judge one for exercising free will or at the very least suffering a malady, dooming them to hell, when so many of their own martyrs, even their very own savior, Jesus Christ exercised that type of Free Will, of the kind the church has proven itself to loathe.

He knew as did many of those hung on crosses by some very wicked pagans known as the Romans.

I am not justifying suicide or actions of the Jack Kevorkian's of this world but I do have a case of defense to plead, even with the under tow of my saying, "f" the church, which gets easier and easier, as long as they keep acting up and showing their colors of desire, with regard to subjugating the meek, not to mention hiding those that victimize children!

Left to The Church, the meek will never inherit the Earth because the children of Saint Peter, Henry VIII and Martin Luther own it all and they are not giving it back.

No wonder Popes and archbishops fear Liberation theology.

What happened to forgiving the sinner?

What happened to judgment belonging solely to God?

There is no real joy for my pointing the finger on such matters as these, because in my own way, I too suffer and will continue to do so, at the hands of vile men, who have little do with the divine, as they sing the praises.

At least, as far as those of the Christian tradition are supposed to be concerned, Jesus is too pure, in his love and noble desire to save mankind, to dirty his divine hands, acting as judge, on any level, encouraging the judgment and wrath of his father.

Would someone please tell the venomous old churchly lady that I once spoke to, that Mister Robbin's did not get hit by a car because of his mistress and that little Michael, who threw himself off a roof, after his stepfather sodomized him that one last time, that seven year old children are not meant to be burning in hell, even though Pastor Lehman swears it up and down.

As ugly as mankind might be when left to its own designs, if you are a good Christian, I will thank you to remember that judgment is for judgment day alone.
If that is not enough to make you content or happy then picture the God of Israel, THE ONE who loved mankind so much, with Moses watching on, as he mooned all of us, the entire human race, humankind, in Exodus, picture him placing me in the lake of fire and visualize my smiling for eternity in ecstasy, for the blessing of this life, those I have loved. for I have lived with few regrets.

Don't take my word for it about The God of Israel showing his ass. Look it up in Exodus.

So, if one is ill and suffering because of the malady, compassion should be shown to them and this is the way of Christ.

I know, as one of decent ethics, that this is true and I do not hate Christians but many of us living and growing in this so-called democracy, are tired of the whining of Christian institutions and their leaders.

As soon as this government and its leaders sworn to protect freedom of religion, give into them in the slightest, they pin those not of their dogma and give it to us from behind without lubrication.

Sorry to digress and this point is important.

I do not believe that the taking of one's life is proper, in order to make for an easy way out of life's suffering, as I once tried to do and before the villagers of the Gold and Silver Jesus, nailed to the cross contingent, come after me with pitchforks and torches;

In 1991 I promised my friend, a Roman Catholic Priest, in the intensive care unit, of the Veteran's hospital, near Boston, Massachusetts, that I would not take this road again.

That is a difficult promise for any one to make and keep, if they come from a legacy of mental illness, as I most certainly do.

Christ was neither crazy or stupid. He knew what they would do to him. You know in your heart I am right.

All churches, totalitarian and Fascist regimes hate such an example of Free Will, as suicide, because they covet control of the masses, through a dogma created for the subjugation of spirits meant to be free.

Jesus never instructed anyone to curse those who hang themselves and, just for the record, for those Christians who love to promote the myth of the rapture, those who supposedly take the bible literally, it, the direct ascension, ain't in the book.

That seem to imply that you are going nowhere fast, so along the lines of decency, please use that energy you were using, in pursuit of the rapture and just help a fellow human, in despair, get over their suffering without making them pray to Jesus before you give them a cookie.

As for my feeling, for those who suffer, in such a way that the sunniest warm days are tomb dark and cold;

No true Being is in a position to judge eternal damnation in the name of God and for those that do and know better, those not speaking from the emotion of the angry moment, I wish you an eternity in Christian Hell and infinite flaming crispiness.

Children starve. Disease comes. Wars are manufactured to make men rich and its Ok because we are killing those filthy Muslims, as the rich of the womb of Christianity, sing the joy of Jihad as they line their pockets.

The tempest of despair, touches those all over the world, as the sanctimonious and powerful, feed the hungry and suffering with bibles, in lands where illiteracy reigns and the turrets, in the form of world businessmen, who exploit the people of these regions stealing and selling their precious resources, as they look on, as the books given them are viewed upside down, just as they should be read, coming from those in cohoots with big business, that give them such burdens as gifts in tghe form of empty words, promises without action.

This is not so much digression, as a reminder of the outrageousness of powerful men in robes, pointing a
finger at the suffering, while exploiting their desire for
salvation and forgiveness because their poverty has been
treated as and turned into a crime.

Mental illness is as common as a street whore in a city among the poor and those whom are denied the love and bounty of a full table.

If you look at statistical world health maps you will see that maladies of the mind went everywhere the vikings did.

They have found their way other places too but in my own experience, I shall only comment on those of the North, my tribe of origin.

It is so not easy being Blond., astrologically like we Libra's are and/or otherwise.

I am of course kidding but I must be a little glib because the subject is so depressing and the act has taken so many from me, most recently in December, when my cousin Bengt took his own life.

My cousin Benny never got over his half-brother, Alexander, turning the car on, after ingesting sedatives and letting go.

Even though I will not justify it outright, in the case of Zander, it seems he was justified, in the taking of his own life.

The doctors told the man, with the brilliant mind, that he had Toxo-Plasmosis, due to his having AIDS,

This is a serious brain disease that leaves the one stricken with it, demented. This is an ugly and unkind way to go, especially for a brilliant mind.

Perhaps we should be more concerned with saving the human race from such disease, as opposed to feeding a president's vision of Unreality, the need for a war built on a pyramid of deceit,

Does he have the biggest penis in the universe.

Of course this must be so, a true statement, because most of us feel severely screwed.

Oh yeah;

"W" IE Le Weasel, has told us that God speaks to him, which I do believe, but as a pagan, I want to know which God, because not all are good and he certainly is not following or embracing one that is.

Do they worship Dick Cheyenne in the Skull and Bones?

Were I an Evangelical I should disown him.

So much of what I see for now and the future does truly sicken me.

There have been voices in the wilderness before, and mine hits it's sharpest notes, with regard to a need for compassion and empathy, when those of unkind hearts judge and harm their fellow man, and those of their kin, left behind.

Before you take note of the hostility in my writing, judging me as hateful, remember their actions, the crimes, hypocrisies and misdemeanors of it all, The Church!

In September 2005 my cousin wrote this about me, in speculation because he feared my death.

As it would turn out, this was his form of a suicide note.

In reading it between the tears, I realize that I could ask these questions of him and all whom I know of heart and spirit, because they are questions that show a love and respect for humanity, the pain and joy of it all.

I had been quite ill just before he took his life and this is what was written.

THE NOTE

> When you go I will ask these questions. Your spirit is in all these things

> Love,
> Zander

> Did you ever walk barefoot with him on a beach?

> Did you ever fish with him?

> Did you ever look into his eyes on a full moon night?

> Did you ever watch him work with the fire?

> Did you ever make magic with him?

> Did you ever watch him kiss someone he really loved?

> Did you ever see him stand up to a bunch of uniforms for a cause he believed in?

> Did you march with him?

> Did you know he was everything the military feared and loved?

> Did you know he wanted to be loved by everyone?

> Did you ever hold his hand or hug him when he was afraid of his calling?

> Did you ever come to him with your problems?

> Did you ever look beyond his smile and see the pain he lived with?

> Did you ever watch him on stage bearing his soul?

> Did you ever watch him being playful with children?

> Do you know why Tempest made him king?

> You are special cousin. Take care and live a little longer. I am not coming back to that country you love so much.

>
> The government is evil and I haven't your strength to battle it. I am too Swedish.

> Zander

Someone asked me what I think about the Virginia shootings of so many children of promise.

I think it is time to judge less and understand more because I do not wish to see any more parents and friends shedding tears over needless tragedy that outlines a serious problem.

There is enough room for us all.

No on should be made to feel left out.

We are going to change the world!!!

NAMASTE,
The Faery King

This reality that these two beings are close enough to be one in a state of love makes the situation and the friendship extraordinary.

A line of communication shall soon be set up for those wishing to take a more active role in blessing this great friendship at their hand-fasting

JAH=D is like the king because he dwells within the state of an illuminated heart, guided by a creed based a loving and generous nature.

The two of them are not above extreme bouts of laughter when things get a little too stuffy or serious.

Once The Faery King told Jordan his eyes were so beautiful. Jordan suggested in that case, he should probably pickle them.

They both look to make life better for those around them, while making a sincere effort to help heal an ailing world at large.

If you look at the Indigo's that walked into the king's life just before his heart attack last August, the way these wonderful Twenty-Somethings have helped heal him, continuing on to witness the beauty of those that seem to be entering our midst on a daily basis, you will understand that this hand-fasting is a celebration of a very happy love, one which involves more than two very kind-hearted beings.

JAH-D and The Faery King deserve some happiness.

Lets make this Starwood special for all who attend. Lets make it special for them.

Lady Heather will be making a formal announcement for this hand=fasting before the end of the month.

There will be more happy news in the near future about changes within The Gossamer Court.

NAMASTE

You're invited to A Unique Seder for Unique People (Washington DC)

Hey there!

I'm active in the DC Radical Faeries as Sylvia Sexxin' (the name is temporary until something better finds me). I posted this in the DC Rad Fae list and I thought I'd put it up on here, too.

Every year, my friend herodotusjr and I hold a Passover seder and people of many different faith traditions attend, and this year we're opening it up to all the freaks, geeks, queers, heretics and weirdos in the greater Washington DC area!

Read below for more information, and if you want to come, make sure you RSVP via the website link below!

*****
THE EVITE PAGE WITH ALL THE INFO:
http://www.evite.com/app/publicUrl/c4bl3fl4m3@gmail.com/weirdopesach
*****

What?: A Unique Seder for Unique People
When?: Saturday, April 7th @ 7 PM
Where?: herodotusjr’s House – College Park, MD
(Actual address to his house found inside the evite. Make sure you RSVP.)

You're invited to our WEIRD seder for freaks, geeks, heretics, queers and weirdos like us!

So every year we have a Passover Seder. And gathered around the table is a motley bunch of people: Jews, Gentiles, people of their own unique beliefs, heck, even an Atheist or 2. Queers and straights, Jews who support Palestine and computer hackers. Yeah, we're weird, and we wouldn't have it any other way. And this year, we're opening up our seder to all the freaks, geeks, queers and weirdos in the greater DC area!

Our seder is, like its attendees... WEIRD. Its a unique, egalitarian seder with traditional elements embellished with our own unique blend of geekery, freakery and Jewish (& Jew-ish) weirdness. There will be an orange on our seder plate, as well as a Miriam's Cup at our table, to celebrate the contributions and inclusion of GLBTQ people and women in Judaism. And herodotusjr will tell his infamous retelling of the Passover story, complete with voices, as he does every year.

If you're looking for a seder and you're afraid you won't fit in... you'll fit in here.

If you're a freak, geek, dork, nerd, or weirdo, you are welcome at our table.

If you're gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, or queer, or are somehow different in your sexual orientation or gender identity or presentation, you are welcome at our table.

If you're a secular Jew and wish to partake of this tradition, you are welcome at our table.

If your particular brand of Judaism is different from the norm (such as JewBu, JeWitch, or Jewnitarian, amongst others), you are welcome at our table.

If you're a Gentile of any (or no) religion, and you feel called to attend a seder (or are curious what the fuss is all about), you are welcome at our table.

If you have body mods or funny hair, you are welcome at our table.

If you'd simply like to go to a seder, but are afraid that you won't fit in, you are welcome at our table.

All outsiders, outcasts, and people who are considered "different" by society are welcome at our table.

Food wise: We certainly don't keep full Kosher for passover, but we make sure that we're not eating pork or shellfish and we do our best to get rid of chametz (leavened bread). There will be vegetarian food for those who keep vegetarian.

Dinner will be a potluck. So bring your best dishes that don't involve leavened breadstuffs (if you have a question about a dish, ask. Pasta is usually NOT ok.), pork or shellfish. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are always welcome. Also, bring a bottle of wine from a fruit of the vine and/or grape juice. Drinking 4 glasses of wine/juice a piece makes for a great demand. Kosher for passover is wonderful, if you can, but not necessary.

RSVP: Yes, please, if at all possible! It lets us make sure we have enough food, matzo, and chairs! If you're undecided or unsure if you can come, RSVP with a maybe. However, there's always an extra place at the table and if you suddenly find yourself able to come but you haven't RSVPed, do come (calling the phone number on the evite and letting us know you're coming does help).

Transportation: herodotusjr's house is near a bus line, however, we're more than willing to carpool with people and/or pick people up from the Metro. If you think you're going to need or would like some help with transportation, RSVP early (and/or call the number on the Evite. That's my cell phone.) and we'll work something out, no sweat.

Feel free to pass on this notice to any group, list, or LJ community (or individuals) that you think might have people interested in attending. Just make sure that they RSVP via the Evite page above!

We hope to see you on that Night That's Different From All Other Nights!

(x-posted to a bunch of different from the norm Jewish and other spiritual communities)

Hi everyone, My name is Vinny. I am so excited to have stumbled upon this community. I am 18 years old and I live in poughkeepsie, new york. I have heard different thing about radical faeries in the past and it interested me greatly. I did some googling and found some information but I still want to know more and understand it better. I have questions like are there Rad Fae communes? Where and when do get-togethers/meetings and such go down? What happens at them? Most of all I am interested in learning more and getting involved. So it would be great if maybe you guys could help me out with some resources or even talk to me. My aim name is: a giggle fit so please feel free to send me an instant message.

Thanks!
♥♥vinny

The more I dwell on it, the more I am certain... I don't think I have "beliefs" in the "accepted" way. Is it a belief to take life as something that is? Things are or are not. People are or are not.

Lemme lay it down a bit... and know that I do take dictionaries with a gain of salt, however, I want to make sure my language is clear:

1 : a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing
2 : something believed; especially : a tenet or body of tenets held by a group
3 : conviction of the truth of some statement or the reality of some being or phenomenon especially when based on examination of evidence
(www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary)

1) I have a hard time with trust, tending to distrust without allowing it to be seen because I realize I have to check my thoughts against reality
2) I have a hard time with groups or group think... possibly because I was persecuted (for my beliefs) in the life I lead just before I was here. Groups that believe one thing or a body of things scare me on principle and instinctually.
3) It is my opinion that there is no "truth" -- only truths... the same evidence examined by different people will yeild different results.

And while "belief" and "opinion" are synonyms of each other, it's the shade of difference between them that makes me my kinda geek. To refer:

OPINION implies a conclusion thought out yet open to dispute (each expert seemed to have a different opinion).

BELIEF implies often deliberate acceptance and intellectual assent (a firm belief in her party's platform).

... maybe I am merely exhibiting how I am filled with skepticism. My parth is not one of certainty, but "suspended judgment, systematic doubt and criticism." (hee -- I liked it... and it's really true for me, too. There are people and situations to which I apply judgement, feel certain, and do not critique, but generally speaking about the state of my soul, my thought, etc.? I am not sure what I make of things yet and I am not bothered by it the way some people have expressed being bothered with it at various points in my life. It isn't that I am aimless, it's that I like to remain open. However, if anything, I'd LOVE to drop the vigilance.)

The older I get, the less time I devote towards dictating what I think (... and I think a lot... and if "beliefs" and "thoughts" ever come to occupy the same space, some of this may differ/vary) to other people. Other people, generally, have either everything or nothing at all to do with my path.

I could say... striking the apparatus through which I believe or don't believe freed up a lot of space in my head and allowed me to engage with realities on different levels. The problem with belief is that it can blind you or shut you off from other ways of experiencing -- setting the self up for dogma, becoming a path -- yes and paths are good -- but a path with walls, pre-smoothed, stepped into... I guess I don't mind brambles if I agreed to them.

Without belief, I can shape myself into all kinds of needs and medicines, I can be form that has no form or form that has a form without losing the essence of fluidity. I would not force that on anyone. I do not know nor could I believe that would work for everyone or work for an extended amount of time for everyone.

Perhaps this is the beginning of my finding what I am coming to think of as Air medicine. There's some appropriation present, but I doubt whatever "this" is will have a name when I am finished and can pass it along.

***
When I was at Breitenbush, I had this vision of going to heartcircle and disrobing. For those of you in the know, even a dress of mine has layers upon layers upon layers until the eye can settle on the flesh. However, I don't feel my flesh is representative of my essence, it is, essentially, "the drag" I wear... and I love, but drag nonetheless. While I *could* say this is evidence of needing to spend more time in my mirror, gazing at my reflection, fixing myself in my flesh for a bit... or doing something physical that may exhaust me to underline that mind/body connection I like to let go of so often, where I am going with this is... I never did it because one of my deeper minds could not shake the need to be understood the way I would understand. I don't know about other people, but I come in layers. White Eagle spoke of this as "complex squared" -- to which I delighted (and told him I would steal... oh, I have been thinking about him and Hartsong a lot today...) -- but it's true and tragic: Who can see the self as the self sees the self? Or experience the self the way the self experiences the self? I find myself, right now, realizing how badly I need to read Derrida (and, also, perhaps he can help the direction on my second Octavia E. Butler paper....) who speaks about the divide between self and other (which, recently, Judith Butler debunks, although I don't know how, but I have read articles talking about how she challenges this line of thinking... I wonder how the body figures?) -- I ask for too much.

***
Perhaps that is why I am endlessly apologizing... I ask for too much or *feel* like I am asking for too much. Or, and I might have my finger on the trigger here: I am used to being in the position where people ask for things from me -- and I give as unselfishly, as without expectation as I can (and... I can...), but I hate being put in the position where I have to ask for the kinds of things that substain my soul.

So often... I see people needing something. I search myself to see if I have anything to give and I give it. -- usually before being properly asked. This kind of service I learned from my mothers. You don't wait for someone to say something if you see it or see it down the line and can offer it. Also, if I need it, too, I give what I can.

Perhaps, I endlessly apologize because I am not accustomed to taking.

Or there are stipulations on whom I feel comfortable taking from... those relationships where things have been an endless flow of give and take that my discomfort of position never rears its apologetic head.

***
It is raining here in Seattle, but the sky is bright. I am not sure whether Ryan and I are going grocery shopping today as Sunday finds our grocery picked over... but also, I think we are both feeling some modicum of lazy and shiftless -- I mean, hell, he hasn't awakened yet! *grins* I will put him to bed as early as he will let me and try to venture out to hang with Kyrdle. A tentative plan. Tomorrow, I plan to track down Hartsong and White Eagle and find out about Naraya -- I wish I had been quicker on the uptake... I have a feeling I might should have tried to go -- how often will it be on Vashon Island? An island that has been my totem for 8 years, where I have always found peace and my heart opened. While it doesn't take much more than being in voice to make me break out in aria, I usually don't do so at Thirftway.

Talked to Susheel yesterday. *sighs* Feel my sisters and brothers come forward. *sighs* I feel it will all be all right. Just need to make some things manifest and solidify my intention.

... yeah, I like than language.

Rye has awakened. I actually proofed this instead of sending it on... I hope to generate conversation, but if I don't, that's ok, too. I'll probably put this in my LJ and MySpace, too... cuz I am feeling it and liking it and desiring a unified front atm.

Unofficially, I have drawn a land in the sand.
Good thing I'll forget about it and it will fade.

I am endeavoring to define sexuality as broadly as possible and bring in as many identities and ideas on the subject as possible. As one can imagine, making sure that those who attend the workshop come from lots of sexual backgrounds is impossible, so I’m hoping to bring other identities into the room through the use of narrative.

That’s where you come in =)

If you’re comfortable, I would love for you, your friends, anybody off the street to write a 6-8 sentence narrative about your sexuality. This can include but is certainly not limited to your sexual orientation, what type of relationships you have, or even what you do in bed (but please keep in mind these will be read aloud by one of my students in my classroom… please don’t make them blush too badly). Anything that you feel describes your sexuality is welcome. Please send submissions to my email either in text or an attached word document. My email address is mray@uvm.edu
