The text on the fortune reads "Michael, it is our great fortune to have you back on our television screens. Congratulations on the new job! Your hobbits at Rack of Lamb".

First off, thanks to everyone for getting behind me on my latest endeavor.

Secondly, thanks for the football-sized chocolate covered fortune cookie! The note inside from "The Hobbits" was priceless. And the cookie is surprisingly tasty!!

Some pics were taken as I opened the gift at my home and has been sent on (to someone who knows what they're doing) and will be posted soon!

It’s here! As if we could forget, Michael’s episodes of The Young and the Restless begin airing TODAY! Woo! Don’t forget to tune in to watch him play the sinister Adam Wilson on the daily soap. And if you missed it yesterday, be sure to read acinogan's detailed character bio to get all caught up on Adam's backstory.

You can catch the show each weekday on CBS. Check your local listings for exact times. You can also view full episodes on the official website. Finally, SoapNet repeats each episode the same evening AND the entire week’s episodes on Saturday. There is ample opportunity to check it out!

Adam Wilson (aka Victor Adam Newman) 101 - I watch way too much Y&R and thought I would share some backstory with my fellow ROL'ers who are not quite as up to speed on this as I am. WARNING: it's long and potentially confusing. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about any info here. Also, I haven't actually watched this week's episodes yet, so this is only through last friday! :) Enjoy...

The June 16th issue of Soap Opera Digest has a two page article about Michael joining the cast of Y&R! See page 4 for a picture of Michael. There is also a blurb with another quote from Michael on page 16. Maybe someone who has a scanner can post it online for those who are not able to get the magazine?

So exciting to see this in print! Is it the 25th yet? ;)

TVGuide.ca published an interview with Maria Arena Bell, the headwriter and executive producer of Y&R ... thought there was an interesting quote in there.

MAB: It was Chris’ personal decision to leave the show. We’re sorry he did. But we’re really excited about the actor we hired to replace him. Michael Muhney is an incredibly strong actor with fantastic prime-time TV credits. He’s also theatre-trained, so he’s well equipped. Michael is stepping into an amazing role. I have to tell you that Adam Newman is by far the most interesting and fascinating character I have on the canvas right now. While I won’t comment on Chris’ decision, I will admit I was saddened that we had to recast because Engen was really [gelling] in the role. However, I have no doubt that Michael will make Adam his own.

Hello, fellow fans! (Warning: Unbelievably boring "new person" story below)

Not sure if these sort of 'Hey, I'm New' kind of posts are allowed, but I'm new so thats totally my excuse. But if it's not, feel free to delete this post and give me a virtual slap upside the head. The only reason I'm new is because I only started watching VM. (I didn't watch it when it was airing because my mother told me I'd like it, and I was a petty teenager and I didn't want her to be right. She was.) On a whim my friend bought all the DVD's and we've been having marathons while avoiding our uni work., and we just finished season 3 (*sniff*). As we were watching the first episode, Lamb quickly became my favourite character. Why? Was it because Michael was in one of my favourite episodes of numb3rs and when he came on screen, I yelled "HEY! IT'S JOE!" really loudly? Maybe. (I did actually yell that at the TV and my friend looked at me as though I was insane) Was it because when Lamb came on screen, I remembered Michael from his appearances on Numb3rs, Charmed and Without a Trace, in which he was really good? Maybe. Or was it due to these things as well as the fact that the character of Lamb is MADE OF AWESOME?! Probably. Anyway, throughtout the series, while my friends were busy swooning over Logan (yes, even the men) I was busy giggling at Lamb's snarkiness. (Ok, I admit, I was swooning over Logan a little too.)

Anyway, that's my story. I'm heaps excited for Michael about Y&R. I'm a little disappointed because I have a feeling Australia probably won't get to see this for a really long time given how far behind we are. *shakes fist at Australian broadcasting* But that's ok. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it.

Small sidenote from yours truly: Not sure how to put this, or if this is even necessary to put out there, but ... under NO CIRCUMSTANCES ... will I allow negative comments about any actors involved and personal choices they might have made in regards to their career. The reasons for Chris leaving Y&R are, as far as I learned, nothing but rumors and media frenzy and unless there will be an official statement from either camp, these are not grounds for personal attacks. Should the possible storyline actually be the reason he left, than that's also a personal choice that should be respected. The same goes the other way around. There will be absolutely no tolerance of attacking Michael personally for taking a role that some people might not agree with, especially when the s/l hasn't yet been revealed.

I know that we are a great bunch of people here and hopefully this community will continue to strive and be a happy place for all of us, but this is getting a lot of attention and I really like this place here to be happy and friendly. Which doesn't mean we all need to go Stepford and not have heated discussion ... we all know ... little lambs can bitch and snark with the best of'em.

...please nobody hate me now.

Okay ... continue on with the Party :) Chris is out! Michael in! Wheee!

For better or worse, Michael has gotten a mention on Perez Hilton! I think it's his first mention on the gossip site, so it's definitely noteworthy!
