Nestor Carbonell, aka, Eyeliner Man - who plays Gotham's very Antonio Villaraigosa-esque-looking mayor but is best known for his "Lost" role, talked about working with the actor [Heath Ledger].

“We were in a scene where I announce something to a number of police officers and he [Ledger] suddenly starts clapping sarcastically and it was totally unscripted. Immediately, I said to myself, ‘He got this role down.' That absolutely made an impression on me.'"

Here's a new interview with Nestor about his role in the latest Batman movie. He also mentions that he'll definitely be back for filming LOST in August :)

 First of all, let me say: big ups to ya'll for making the Richard and/or Nestor Carbonell thing-magiggie. This dude totally PWNS and he is my favourite character [next to Mr. Linus] on LOST. And I would like to let people know that there is a really fun site to go to that has everything Richard Alpert that is awesomely cool and is NOT [thank goodness] in the least bit, confusing....Unlike the way I talk/type. To kick things off I've uploaded an audio interview with Nestor for you. You've probably read bits and pieces from it at DarkUFO as it was done a while ago (the Steve and Nicky show, anyone?), but if you're interested you can download it to hear him talk and laugh. It goes for around six minutes and this is back when the CBS heirarchy wouldn't let him go on LOST at the same time as Cane because apparentely it would 'confuse the viewers'. Whatever. He talks a bit about Cane, how old he thinks Alpert is and jokes about not aging in his contracts.

Howdy! I'm Lea and a couple of days ago I realised that there was no Richard Alpert (or Nestor Carbonell) community out there and thus took it upon myself to start one. I've recruited janie_tangerine and idrilelendil - two talented gals who you've likely seen around the LOST lj fandom- and now here we are. Like most Comms you can post to the main page whenever you wish - we want to see your fanart, fics, and hear your LOST rambles. Sharing is caring, right? ;) And all LOST fans have to go through a long-ass hiatus so we gotta stick together and keep each other busy.

Please read the comm etiquette and abide by it. The rules are simple as, and will make this Comm a fun and interesting place to visit. If you choose to be a jerk, we'll make you feel the consequences of 'moving the Island', got it? Great.

Here's hoping Nestor will be made a regular cast member in season five. He's a great actor, extremely easy on the eyes and his character's untold story is gnawing away at all LOST fans minds (as if there wasn't enough mystery on the show already :P but I love it). He will be next seen as the Mayor of Gotham City in the next Batman installment The Dark Knight.
