| About: | Welcome to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} quote_ficlets; a community where, every Monday, we'll post a quote from a movie, television show, book, actor, writer or whatever, and you use this as inspiration to write a ficlet that is at least 100 words, and no less. It can be anything over this that you like; hell, it can be 101 words for all we care *laughs* This is so you can get inspiration for ficlets.What fandom you ask? Why, any fandom! Anything your vast imagination can conceive! ^_^ It doesn't even have to be an established fandom; original works are more than welcome here. Whatever the quote inspires, go for it, y'know? There is no time limit to your creation; take five minutes, or take an hour! Whatever you like. Ratings, genres and pairings can be anything you like. We're not against anything at all, so long as it is rated accordingly and carries an appropriate warning for anything... not-so-child-friendly. We hope to have members of all ages, so let's keep it sensible, shall we? We wouldn't want to impression any fragile minds... >_> Late entries are not against the 'rules', but don't get silly. Don't join two months into the community and trace back... you'll probably burn yourself out, and that's just not what we wanna do to our fellow authors, is it? Also, you are under no 'contract' to post a ficlet every week. Do one a month if you like; if the quote doesn't inspire, no worries. This is a completely optional community, but in saying that, the more activity, the better, y'know? The one thing we do ask you to take note of, is that this is a via-comment community. This means that any responses to the week's challenge are put up in a replying comment to the entry with the week's quote. If your entry for the week is more than 500 words, we ask that you link back to your journal where you've posted it (where it will hopefully be in a public post for all to enjoy). Anything less than this that you don't want to put in your own journal and link to, feel free to simply slap it up in a comment as a response; no harm done. This is a community for writers of all ages, walks of life, and fandoms to share any inspiration they have gathered from whatever quote we can come up with for the week. Each week, one of the three moderators will post a quote in a new entry, behind an lj-cut. When you make an entry in your lj, please put the quote behind a cut so people don't know what inspired the ficlet until the very end *winks* Makes it more interesting... or something like that.
