Well well well... where to begin? My name is Miso, pleased to meet you. I'm a writer, obviously. xD; Ever since I was around eleven years old, I've wanted to write. Laying awake in bed one night, looking around at all the celebrities that adorned my pre-teen walls, an idea struck me. I'd been reading the wonderful Animorphs series by K.A. Applegate and wondered what it would be like if a celebrity or two could change into animals. Thus, I grabbed a composistion book & a pencil and started on my first ever story. (How I wish I still had that notebook...) After that, I got into going on the internet and found Message Boards, dedicated to my favorite teen idols and each one had a story section. I started writing stories with other internet friends, both on the boards and one on one with friends online through e-mail.
Then I discovered the world of Livejournal. Aside from keeping my own personal journal (without the pain of a cramped hand from long entries), I had a home to post my stories and also for other people to read and (hopefully) enjoy. Why do I write? Because I find it fun. It lets me use my imagination and make my characters do whatever I please. I love fantasy; anything with vampires or werewolves or even faeries is something I love to write. I mostly write fanfiction and have been through so many fandoms, before settling on a select few that I can't ever imagine leaving.
Writing is usually easy for me; I keep a lot of notebooks, or 'Plunnie Books' as I call them, as I use them to jot down any idea or 'plunnie' that comes to me. I also keep a notebook and a couple pens on me at all times, just in case. You never know when an idea will hit you. Best to be prepared. I usually outline or use what I call 'Plan Bubbles' to plot out each chapter and what I want to have happen. It helps a lot when trying to write out a chapter or a oneshot. Also, music helps a considerable amount. The best stories are written when you have a soundtrack compiled for said story.
Some of my favorite authors are R.L. Stine, Rachel Hawthorne, Keri Arthur, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, K.A. Applegate & Melissa Marr.
