Everything is super cheap! Everything must go!

Does the City of Quincy require permits for yard sales?  I don't see anything on the website about it.  Anyone know?

Did anyone else hear a noise today that sounded like a very large aircraft taking off from Logan Airport, but it went on for about 30 minutes? I heard it from Weymouth (multiple locations) between 7:45 and 8:15am).

I found a great hair dresser though LJ before last year, and she was great.  However, I just called to make an appointment, and she's moved from the Braintree salon to an upscale place on Newbury Street where she's not taking any new clients (even if I wanted to pay Newbury Street prices).  So I'm back again asking for a recommendation. 

Does anyone know of a good hair cutter / stylist in the Quincy or Braintree area?  I'm willing to pay up to $50 for a good cut, no more.  I'm looking for someone who doesn't need *exact* instructions to know what they are doing and has some level of creativity without going overboard.

My girlfriend, the wonderful plumtreeblossom, lives in Davis Square and on davis_square. davis_square has had a couple of in-person gatherings recently, which have been a lot of fun. Would anybody on this community be interested in doing that? And if so, anybody want to suggest a venue? (The davis_square gatherings have been at bars, but I’d be inclined to try a restaurant or café.)
