Quiltris!
I've been working on my latest geeky project for months now, and I'm proud to say that I finally finished the top this evening. Ladies and gentlement, I present: Quiltris!
Yes, the photo was taken in the bathroom, since the only way I could hold it up was to safety-pin it to the shower curtain rod. (No, it won't be staying in the bathroom, that was just a convenient place to hang it for a photo!) Not sure how the lens got smudged, though!
The whole thing is probably a little bit small- 50" x 70"- so I'll probably add another set of borders to make it twin size (60" x 80" or so), but I'm in no rush. I've been working a lot on it lately, and I think it's time to take a break and maybe plan a new project! I can easily add borders and start the machine quilting in a week or so; I think that for now, my quilting jones is totally satisfied... not to mention the fact that I'm dancing around like a lunatic because I actually managed to pull this off :-p
EDIT: No, I'm not a bad Tetris player... I actually had to stop myself after playing for an hour, because playing *well* didn't end up with any interesting color patterns. Once I started to suck, though, things looked better, mostly because random colored blocks look better than lots of black space ;)
