| About: | This community is predominantly for genderqueer people on both the FTM (female to male) and MTF (male to female) spectrums. The term genderqueer refers to people who do not fully identify as male or female, or who identify as neither, or both or all genders, or as ungendered, or as genderfluid. The forum's for genderqueers who are transitioning, or who are undergoing gender reassignment, or are planning transition, or who are taking a maintainance dose of hormones to discuss their particular desires and requirements for hormone therapy. As well being a forum for MTF spectrum and FTM spectrum transpeople this forum is also for non-binary identified transpeople, and other members of the trans community who don't fit with the usual 'normal' transsexual treatment models. Thus the endocrinological needs of some of the members of this forum may sometimes appear somewhat different to percieved social 'norms'. Some of us transition once. Some of us transition and de-transition. Some of us live in a state of perpetual gender transition. Some of us take T, or other androgens. Some of us take oestrogen, some of us take a mixture of hormones, or no hormones at all to achieve the gender expression(s) we desire. If one's gender expression is unusual it doesn't mean it's not a valid perspective. All transpeople and genderqueer people are worthy of respect.
