The Journal
What the hell is up with the Journal today? Anyone know? Anyhow much funnier than any recent Golden Words issue.

reading "ResNet moves to block pornography" right now.

Uh, I thought ResNet already limits bandwidth? So who cares what takes up all the bandwidth?

It's all faked, done by Golden Words. Some members of the TA Union are peeved about it, though- they're getting flooded with emails from students concerned about class being cancelled.

so I'm told they do this every year - as a froshie, I was thoroughly amused. At first I thought the journal had just gotten really funny, then suddenly it dawned..

We at GW wrote this week's Journal. I hope my review of Welcome to Mooseport got in.

I'm not sure if it did or didn't; I left at around midnight, so I didn't see everything.

If anyone has anything specific to say about it, I'd be more than happy to bring it up at the next masthead meeting.

It didn't. I don't think I saved it in the unftped folder / Dave didn't read it.

I don't think it did. It was The Butterfly Effect.

But yes. I only glance at titles so I wasn't too fazed.

TAs strike: Meh
Queens Welcomes Chomsky: Ooo, guest speaker. Must go see and fawn over.

What really got me was the ad for Queen's Hedonism Club. And I even pointed it out to a friend and was like: "Well, this is a new one. I'll have to join."

But alas. 'Twas a lie. *tear*

I had the same reaction upon reading the headlines. and the hedonism club. we COULD always start one. but....effort..maybe we should email that address and see if it works

Good idea. In warmer weather we could gather outside and host BBQs.

Having been at Queen's for (cough, ahem) over 6 years, I have seen some pretty good GW Journal covers, but this one was done the best I must say.

Anyone else remember the choas and drama that ensued with the issue that said the Library Masturbator committed suicide in Stauffer...and his name was a LITTLE too close to someone real???

Man, I miss the days of the Library Masturbator. Queen's has gotten so boring.

I used to know someone who knew Library Masturbator. Evidently he's a very nice chap who is involved with RMC somehow. Or so they claim.

Yeah, a nice chap who traumatized women by masturbating from behind the stacks and then running away. What a weirdo.

There were two actually, from the best of my memory. I think RMC guy was a copycat. The original guy was older.

The RMC guy I heard of wasn't a student, he was employed at the facility somehow.

NFL STREET?

NFL STREET is a must have. It’s like playing touch football when you were a kid but even better because you’re playing with NFL players. I personally think it’s kick ass. Has anyone seen this NFL STREET contest that EA is doing? I entered and I hope I win that would be sweet to get some autographed gear from the game: http://www.buzztone.com/nfl_street_v2 What do you think of this?I mean this indeed reminds me of the good old days of playing touch football as a kid.Now to be able to play this kind of a game with NFL players? This is going to kick ass! Kind of like a new and improved version of NFL Blitz.

We always have a big stack in the eng soc lounge. Usually you can find the entire semester of back issues.

Swing by and pick one up if you want.
