Haute Doll and Dollheart
So thanks to people's suggestions, I asked Zolala if she would do a Unoa pattern for Haute Doll Magazine. The most recent issue of Haute Doll (June 08) features her pattern! It's an adorable dress and jacket. I was so excited to see this, it's so cute.

This brings me to another point though, that a good part of content in Haute Doll is due to people submitting or giving ideas. So if you have ideas for articles, or you have a favorite customizer you'd like to see featured, or you have a favorite clothing maker you'd like to see do a pattern, etc... won't you email me or Haute Doll to give suggestions? Thanks to those of you who have given suggestions. Each time I'm trying to do something along those lines.
my email is: aimeeATaimeemajorDOTcom

It was interesting to see the Lana Turner Integrity doll in this issue, too. I'm learning more about this time period recently and I thought the doll's facial sculpt and clothing was lovely. I was a bit squicked by how thin her arms were though. It's like everything else has such beautiful proportion, and then the arms!

I really wanted to go to the NY dolpa, but I guess I'm just too busy. I forgot the deadline, actually! But I guess it's for the best! Maybe next year!

I got these gorgeous doll boots from Dollheart the other day. I've actually been really good about not buying doll stuff, but these had to come home with me! Aren't they fabulous? I love Dollheart.

What's your favorite new doll item(s) (or doll(s) lately? :)

Oh, those are lovely boots!

I'm kind of avoiding getting new doll stuff until my finances settle themselves out. I've got a new Volks wig coming, as well as the ED eyes I ordered, and the doll they're for needs new clothes for a 'spring' outfit, but I'm terrified to go looking until I can afford it all.

How boring ;_;

I am so envious that you got the Dollheart boots. I have been drooling over them.

My favorite recent doll items: the White Maiden and the Black Maiden sets from Volks for my girls and the Red Plaid Punk set for my boy from Dollheart!

Those boots are absolutely adorable! ♥

Personally in love with Luts Buzzi (even if I plan on sanding down the chipmunk cheeks) and trying to convince myself that it's totally not okay to spend an extra $100 dollars on two pairs of ED eyes when I go to buy my doll. I'm currently failing at that bit... (^_^;)

The boots are very lovely. I want some for myself. ♥

I liked the last issue and the Rococo gown for MSD girls. (Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.) How about a nice pair of jeans for SD13 girls? (Or even MSD girls? And I don't mean the mature minis.)

I don't get to buy this often so maybe this was already included in a past issue. But pants, to me, are something everyone can use (and they aren't easy to get for MSDs and SD13 girls in my opinion.) A pattern that would provide the big girls with a stylish fashionable pair of pants/jeans would be great. But it's just a suggestion.

I know Mio did a pattern for an Unoa in the BJD Orbyrarium...and I like how she tailors the clothes to fit the dolls well. Something like that would be good. ^_^

The boots are so cute. I love Dollheart, too. And pants for MSD kids would be great!

What cute boots! My most recent indulgence was the an oldie but goodie...Dollheart's Romance of Venice outfit for my handsome Heath. I got the accessory Walking Stick too and just adore this doll all over again. But I'm trying to be good and put all dolly dollars toward NYC Dolpa. If you still really want to go maybe you could email Volks and ask if they'll let you submit your application. Another DoA member was able to do this when she accidentally missed the deadline.

It's probably better that I not go, and I don't want to inconvenience people.

Oh Aimee,

I'm sorry you won't be going to NYC Dolpa, it would've been nice to finally meet you in person. :)And I'm sure Volks would love to have you there since you've been such a great fan and source of info on them for so many of us in this hobby.

Anyway, thanks for your kind words about Heath, his head is quite swelled at the moment knowing that he looks sooooo good in this outfit! I agree with you, he's just meant to wear this look.
