Light and Onyx Soom are really interesting! what a neat way to utilize grey skin! I like their curves too. They really look like mythical goddesses!

there's some other interesting stuff over there too. I'd look around more, but their website, the popup on the left hand side obscures the menu and I can't close it. *_*.....
anyway,... and then there's this one, Spinel, who is so "romantic lead" from a movie. (LOVE the jointed hands. WANT) and then this Sabik looks like he was ripped right out of a traditional costume manga.

also, this dollfairy mermaid is AWESOME.

am still being spectacularly good though about not buying things, but it's fun to look.

So thanks to people's suggestions, I asked Zolala if she would do a Unoa pattern for Haute Doll Magazine. The most recent issue of Haute Doll (June 08) features her pattern! It's an adorable dress and jacket. I was so excited to see this, it's so cute.

This brings me to another point though, that a good part of content in Haute Doll is due to people submitting or giving ideas. So if you have ideas for articles, or you have a favorite customizer you'd like to see featured, or you have a favorite clothing maker you'd like to see do a pattern, etc... won't you email me or Haute Doll to give suggestions? Thanks to those of you who have given suggestions. Each time I'm trying to do something along those lines.

It was interesting to see the Lana Turner Integrity doll in this issue, too. I'm learning more about this time period recently and I thought the doll's facial sculpt and clothing was lovely. I was a bit squicked by how thin her arms were though. It's like everything else has such beautiful proportion, and then the arms!

I really wanted to go to the NY dolpa, but I guess I'm just too busy. I forgot the deadline, actually! But I guess it's for the best! Maybe next year!

I got these gorgeous doll boots from Dollheart the other day. I've actually been really good about not buying doll stuff, but these had to come home with me! Aren't they fabulous? I love Dollheart.

it seems it was totally the right thing to do to sell the dolls that I did. I still want to sell at least 2 more.
I'm very much enjoying looking at the 2 I have on my desk (My Kurumi and my Lin) but... I'm so tired and burnt out. Japan was fun but exhausting. I actually took my Lin with me, but I took no photos of her at all (I know, what is wrong with me). and then when I got back I got really sick. I guess I just need a break for a bit. I'm sure I'll come around and be OCD about my dolls again this time next month.

am slowly catching up on the torrent of email I have from being gone for two weeks. and am sick. UGH! but YEAY YOSDS ARE CUTE.

This is my remaining doll family.
I sold 3 in the past week and shipped them off yesterday. I would like to get the number down to 10, but I am still debating. We'll see.

Honestly... I feel better having sent 3 off. When I get back from Japan I'm going to go through my doll closet and get rid of some of my SD16boy, YoSD and SD13boy items... whatever doesn't suit my current doll family that I can bear to get rid of.

I'm doing another Enchanted Doll eye order!. If we don't get another 12 or so eye pairs before I leave for Japan then the order will be in April. (April for sure, though.)

so... the cherry blossoms are blooming again in Southern California, which means... it's been a year since Sarah died.

It was so wonderful the effort everyone put out to do pictures last year for Sarah, but also in thanks to people we've met through BJD. I'm personally so very thankful for the kindness I've been shown through the BJD community. Thankyou. Please give thanks to friends you've met through BJD and let them know how much you care about them.

There's nothing "wrong", I just have a lot of expenses this year and I really want to cut back in life overall. I still love my dolls but honestly, I've been feeling for a long time that I have too many. I think I will enjoy them more and really have fun with the ones I have, if I have much less.

haha, of course it's like 2 weeks before I'm going to be in Japan. :D maybe it's better that way, Mitch certainly would not want to go.

while I love momoko, though...,... my Kurumi, I actually like her better than Momoko now! So I am safe! :) (I will try to admire Okita Souji from afar... he is just my type...)

... it's almost the end of febuary! I guess I really need to start making some more concrete plans for Japan and making sure my luggage is acceptable! EXCITING!

I really need to part with like three of my dolls. Space is tight and money is tighter right now. But I can't seem to be able to decide who should go.

I was thinking that I would finally let my Yukinojo go again... but then VOLKS posted this hot suit-set. I'm so stupid! I probably should sell him though... :...(

... I can't believe I'm even considering this, but out of the non-SD16 boys remaining... the least distinctive is my Sweet Dream Lucas.... and then I did have that sweet dream school head A from the DOLPA LA. I don't really count that as a doll, since it's just a practice head. ....... there's no way I can part with Lucien (my sunlight boy) or Edmond (my white boy).... so basically that means that one or two out of my SD16 Yukinojo, my Haku (Tsukasa *_*), or my Sweet Dream Lucas has to go.

I think I will definitely have to let my FCS elf girl go, though.. She's just too close to my Madoka in style.
... I GUESS I could try to part with my Jun T? (AAAGH!!!) I don't think I can. I love my Kurumi the best, but Jun is so cute, too, and I love them together.

I'm really trying to cut back all over... but it's so hard. :( These are my current dolls. I can't sell Kurumi (Usagi), Arashi (Ichigo), Madoka, Alita, Sei-tenshi, MSD Violet, YOSD Lin, Lucien (SD13 F16) or Edmond (SD13 Chris). Just no way.
