Rules for the Clusterfuck Challenge (Spring 2009) Because this challenge is Rules for Submissions Submissions will be due Sunday, June 14, at 11:59 AM Pacific (California) Time; there will be a ten minute grace period. Email them, using the instructions below, to cfchallenge09@gmail.com. Please note that time is ONE MINUTE BEFORE NOON, not midnight. We are going to post them that afternoon/evening, so don't be confused and think the submissions are due at midnight as they usually are. We need the extra time to post. Fic, drabbles, meta, and picspams must be sent as attached .txt or .doc files ONLY. No other format is allowed. The header formats in the "header" section below MUST be used. You have to format your drabbles, fics, meta, and picspams with all HTML for italics, etc., as well as with a cut. Please post it/them in your own journal privately first to make sure the work looks how you want it to and the cut is functional. If you need help, you can email cfchallenge09@gmail.com and we'll try to help you, but please do it at least one day before the deadline! For icon and graphic posts: You need to upload your icons and other graphics yourself, but if you don't have anywhere to upload them, email us at cfchallenge09@gmail.com at least TWO FULL DAYS prior to the challenge, and we'll upload them for you. If your graphics are sexually explicit we strongly urge you NOT to upload to Photobucket or any other site that is likely to delete them. To submit graphics or icons, we prefer that you create a post in your own journal that includes the icons or graphics. Use the headers from the header section below, then publish the post for "just you," or preview it, and when it looks how you want it to -- INCLUDING A FUNCTIONAL CUT after the header -- copy the code for the post to a .txt or .doc file and email it us at cfchallenge09@gmail.com. If you don't know how to do that, please fill out the header info given below, paste it into an email, and send us the LINKS TO THE GRAPHICS where you have uploaded them on the web. Vids: Upload them somewhere... paste the header info given below into the email... include the link to the vid... and send to cfchallenge09@gmail.com. Betas We love betas. We love them so much that we made this rule: Betas must be used for all fics including drabbles. You must name your beta when you send a fic to us, but if you request it, we'll leave his/her name off the fic/drabble(s) until the reveal. If English is not your native language, please use a beta for whom it is. Fics will not be rejected for a typo or two, but if they have obviously not been proofread, or you fail to name a beta, we'll have to send it/them back. There is a list of people who have volunteered to beta for authors here on InsaneJournal and here on LiveJournal. Exlusions individual characters from canon, friendship/family/gang, or the ensemble. No Brian/Michael or other non-canonical pairings. Brian and Michael as friends is very welcome. That means no AU/what-if fics that start out with a canonical breakup but veer off from canon, unless they are reunited by the end of the story. 6. Fiction written for this challenge is expected to be in character and reflect the canonical characterization of Brian, Justin, and all the characters. 7. Do not cross post your fan work, nor identify yourself publicly as its author, nor respond to comments left on your work, until "the reveal," which will be five days after the posting. Thank you.
