Welcome! This is an open forum for fans and friends of The Pyrates Royale to talk about that pack of steaming social animals wot's been invading renaissance festivals and other rowdy gatherings since the fall of 1986.
For the uninitiated, they're singing pyrates. They dress up, talk funny, sing, and indulge in off-color humor. Sometimes they get to go sailing and fire off guns. That pretty much covers it, but you could always visit the band web site.

Feel free to talk about how fabulous they are, and also to discuss related topics: maritime music, maritime history and cult-chah (SNORT), pirates, tallships, pirate/maritime reenactment, costuming, maritime/pirate festivals and the like. If you want to post, all ya gotta do is join up. No salesman will come to your door. No pressgang, either.
We ask that you not post memes and quizzes and suchlike -- those are for your personal journals. And please. Don't post the "first day with the hook" joke or the "red doublet & brown trousers" joke or the "foul-mouthed parrot in the freezer" joke. We've heard 'em all before, mate, and we'll mock you without mercy.
