    Mahalo U-30?
Hello! I've been wanting to invest in a ukulele for quite some time, and I've got a lot of the theory, but now I just need to know if the ukulele I want is worth it. At the local music shop, they sell Mahalo U-30s. Does anyone own one? Do they stay in tune for longer than 5 minutes at a time? I greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

Hello! I just joined the comm, so I thought I'd better introduce myself.

I'm Lisa, I'm from the UK and I just bought a Ukulele today! I'm so excited! I have absolutely no idea how to play it, but I can't wait to start learning. It's such a fun little instrument and it sounds of happy.

hi there! i'm a new member, and i have some simple questions!
i have a beautiful soprano ukulele,
and i'm finally getting around to investing in a case for it.
i want a hard case, preferably not black.
    (I'm picky, i know.)
i saw a swell tweed one just about everywhere, but someone around here already has that.

does anyone know where i can get a hard-case? if so, an old, vintage one- if possible.

    Hello, I need some help
Do you have any good resources online that you have found to help you learn how to play the Uke? I have always had love in my heart for all stringed instruments and nothing would please me more than to be able to conquer my impatience and fear of failure, to persevere and master just one instrument. I have a Purple Fluke and it's beautiful and lovely and it should be making music. I am at the moment trapped in a very small town with very limited resources so I will not be able to take lessons more than likely. I do have the summer off however and I am determined to do something with this time.
Any ideas and help would be great, we are currently looking for new jobs and a relocation and as soon as I get to a city with more than just a Safeway, I will look for lessons but until then I want to at least feel like I am moving in the right direction.

    Tips? Tricks? Websites?

    Thanks guys!

    Flea UKE review
Got my flea uke, and yes it is really easy to play---nice size fret  board (good width for my hand) and the Aquila  strings although nylon are pretty good. I have a Stagg Mahogony uke (also not pricey) and really it does produce a nicer sound and feel, but is a little harder to play. So I am not sure--I think the flea is a great cart around uke---it does seem "cheap" in construction but plays pretty well and the sound ain't bad.

GCEA tuning on Bari Uke (x-posted)
I was wondering what people thought of GCEA tuning on the Bari Uke and what the best way to go about tuning it so with the best possible sound. So, whatcha think?

    new uke
Well I bought a new uke--- a Surf design flea with rosewood fret board...IT should be here by Thursday...
Anyhow I kept reading how easy they are to play with good "action" so I thought I would give it a try.
    Hear it here

"The action on the FLEA that I received is very low, which makes playing quite comfortable. Action / setup on budget priced instruments tends to be spotty at best. I’ve only ever read good things about the FLEA in that regard."
