My apartment-mate and I would really like to move out of our luxurious apartment in Alumni. I know, too good to be true right? We've had a few tiffs with our two other roommates, but they're lovely people. We also kinda feel like we're wasting the apartment experience because we don't cook or anything, or stay here for breaks. So if you and your bff would like to upgrade your double wherever to two nice singles in PREP housing, please let me know. I know we missed the deadline for swaps and stuff but it can still be worked out. Or if there are two separate lonely souls out there, hit me up too. |

Any time before 3:30, I'll leave at 9am if that's when you're willing to take me. I'll pay you $5 for it, if that will convince you. I'm pretty good at vaguely interesting conversation, so the 7 minute car ride won't be awkward.
(I'm flying out at 5:20, to Chicago for a layover before another flight to Tuscon, if it matters to you.)

Hey guys, I'm about 90% certain that I lost my iPod Touch and
headphones on the bus this Saturday night at about 6:30pm.
It was a 32G iPod Touch with the words "You're so mambee
pambee" etched into the back and really no other distinguishing
factors. Oh, and the left ear bud was busted as well.
It was stowed away in a little black case with a velcro pocket on
the front and a zippery bit on top with gold writing on the outside.
It looked just about nothing like this:

I'm pretty bummed about it and I doubt that I'll be getting it
back since we all know what happens to lost electronics. But,
basically I'm just hoping someone super nice found it and
they would love to give it back to me!

The Brick is looking for 4 new interns next semester! To apply, please email your resume and samples of your work to Kylie.Wakefield@Purchase.edu.
Writing Interns (2): Two credits will be granted to these interns. Interns will write articles for The Brick on a weekly (if not more frequent) base and pitch story ideas. Articles will range from a variety of subjects including hard news, arts coverage, campus news, and feature stories. Interns will gain a great deal of knowledge on how to write stories, how to interview sources, and what makes a good news piece. Editors of The Brick will also teach writing interns the basics of editing. Students must have taken Journalism One, and attendance at weekly meetings is required.
Video Interns (2): Two credits will be granted to these interns. Interns will assist the video editor with various news pieces, including breaking news, campus news, and the arts. Interns should be familiar with Final Cut (preferred), iMovie, Avid, or Adobe Premiere Pro. Interns will gain knowledge about video editing software and how to structure a video news piece. Interns will be also helping with Brick TV on PTV, our weekly news show on our campus television station. Students who have taken Broadcast Journalism classes are strongly recommended to apply. We are also looking for New Media or Media Society and the Arts majors, but anyone is welcome to apply if you have a passion for producing news videos. Attendance at weekly meetings is required.

It's fine for one of my classes to randomly be put in the LIU building, however it's NOT fine if I try to sit on one of the couches in the LIU building between classes? Because that's what I'm assuming, since the other day I was told that if i was not an LIU student, I wasn't allowed to stay there [I was waiting in there after my class ended because it was freezing outside and was not really in the mood to walk around in the cold for my next class) and that I had to leave.
So technically if I'm not an LIU student I'm not allowed in the LIU lounge-area? Even if I'm a Purchase student taking a class in the LIU building? That seems kind of ridiculous to me. That was the first time that's ever happened to me there, so maybe it was just that one woman. But if that is a legit policy, it seems like BS to me. |

So, Roche is offering PSY2520, Personal and Social Relationships, again for Spring 2010. I just took it, and of course have the required textbook "Interplay, The Process of Interpersonal Communicaton."
It's listed at 80.00 new in the bookstore. I bought my used copy for $65, I think. I'll sell it to you for $35.
It is in awesome condition!
