Wait, don't answer that...
Anyways, I finally taught myself how to do the double cast on thingy that makes casting on so awesomely easy, last night. This was after my new hubby said "I'm not interested in the Harry Potter scarf, I want you to knit me a sweater." grrr. Whole other rant. Anyways, after ripping up the HP scarf, I grabbed the yarn I'm going to use for the sweater (which is absurdly cute and fluffy and is going to make him look like a teddy bear, yes, I am evil.), and my copy of Stitch N Bitch. I'd seen
indigodove do the awesome cast on, and figured I'd give it a whirl (huh huh). So, I figured it out, it is awesome, but here's my question:
Am I doing it wrong : I had to purl my first row because that's where my yarn was?
...This wasn't a big deal, as I know how to purl, and the first row of the pattern I'm using is wicked easy, but I couldn't see teaching this method of cast on to someone who was a total newbie.
