FYI all PTI fans:
On days that PTI is bumped by they still send out a podcast. The most recent ones were last Thursday and Friday and contained Wilbon on Dan Patrick's radio show discussing the Miami-FIU Brawl, and Wilbon discussing Chicago sports with Salisbury and Rosenbloom. Hit up them iTunes!

When Tony and/or Mike are absent from the show, who do you guys like as replacements?
I don't mind Mariotti so much. I can't stand Steven A. Smith, or Bob Ryan. It always seems like Mike/Tony has to talk down to the replacement and it's stupid. eh

OK who caught Tony's line about Brazilian bikini wax in talking about the new Gillette?
Lary Koker looked creepy in Role Play. But at least Wilbon wasn;t wearing a horrendously ugly under shirt.
Who hates Around the Horn as much as I do? It's all just yelling.

Does anyone else HATE the new PTI format? I'm going to write to them and complain. If you hate it too, you should do the same.
I miss PTI being the way it was--sure, it may be a tiny bit longer now, but I don't really care what the guys watch on TV and I don't appreciate having to sit through 10-15 minutes of "SportsCenter" to see the Big Finish. Plus, it plays hell with our afternoon taping routine never being sure when SportsCenter is going to go back to PTI; breaking news can push the time back.
Blah.

I really enjoy Bob Ryan in small doses on Around the Horn, but gosh, it sure seems like old-time vaudeville week with him and Kornheiser on the panel all week.
Couldn't they get Michael Smith back, or even Norman Chad? Hell, even Dan LeBatard would liven things up a bit.
Damn, these guys get generous amounts of vacation time. Come back Wilbon, we miss you!

Yesterday there was no Mister Tony, in his place was Michael Smith, who did a halfway decent job, and didn't annoy the hell out of me like LeBatard. My question to the rest of you would be: who are the best replacement host or hosts? My personal fav was David Aldridge, too bad he switched to TNT...

Just learned this from a Richard Deitsch column @ SI.com:
Finally, Pardon The Interruption co-hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon will make their Late Show with David Letterman debut Feb. 23.
I think (hope) they'll be good guests and Dave will have 'em back.

Hi there, big PTI fan here on the Left Coast. 29/m Dodger and sort of Laker fan. Not really big fan of Kobe, not sure if can support the Kobes, oops, Lakers anymore. I just read (free registration required) that Mike and Tony have signed a five year extension. Good news. Just so long as they don't have Dan LameBatard hosting too much. Even Screamin' A. Smith is better than him. Anyway....glad to find a PTI community...

Hi, I realize no one has posted in like 3 weeks and I just found this community so I joined. I love PTI!! I watch it as much as I can back to back with Around The Horn. Just thought I'd say hi to all the fellow PTI fans. I bet Wilbon is happy today 6 game win streak for the Cubs and Tony, well, his Yankees got swept by the *Sawx* too bad so sad.

I hate hate hate the people they have filling in for Tony while he does dream job. Ecspecially thet stuttering bulldog faced idiot from the Boston Globe. Have you ever tried listening to him. It's all nonsense.
Plus he looks like some old Soviet communist leader. Can't you see him with that hat and red star?... think about it.
Anyway, I'm glad this community exits dead or not. I love the show.
